View Full Version : Heya!!!!
Hey i'm Rare. I want to learn how to draw anime. I can draw very well but it just doesn't turn out well when I try to colour it or once finished I run out of ideas or don't know what to do next.
I am 13/14.
I am a games developer.
I am good at graphics.
I am good at learning-but I don't learn much from a tutorial without pictures or a vid and is just a block of text.
I play guitar.
I'm a good drawer.
Art Programs I can use: Paint.net, MS Paint, GIMPshop, MonkeyJam, Google SketchUp, InkScape.
I am trying to learn Blender and Photoshop.:cat_yahoo:
Are there any good programs that are good for anime that I should get?

Hey i'm Unique. Kidding, welcome to MT. How can you be 13/14. Do you not know which one you are?
Anyway, looking forward to seeing your art.

You'd be surprised, Taylour. James and I were playing a video game yesterday with a guy who had no idea where he lived as it was "unimportant".
Anyway, welcome to MT, Rare.
Lol. Sorry for being unclear.

Hey dude, welcome. Nothing original or quippy to say (sorry!) Hope to see some of your art, though :)
Hi Rare! You know, when you siad that - I was thinking meat. <_< Errr... welcome to the site! If you're interested in doing animation, Flash is a good program for it. Also, sign up for Jaidurn's animation class (http://www.mangatutorials.com/forum/showthread.php?577-Animation-Academy-Accepting).
I don't know what you mean by meat rio, but hey. Doesn't flash cost a lot? I know theres the 30 day month trial which i'm sure is the way I should go. Once I get my other laptop working again. (I'm stuck on a stupid LearningPad, lol).
I've done a bit of art. I thing that troubles me (only sometimes) is shading. I'm a good shader in pixel artwork, but for other things i'm not so much.
I have one picture, done with paint.net. I rushed the person but I think it's pretty good. Any pros, cons, tips?
Not my best...I have to admit. I have way better.

Try making an art thread in the Critique Corner; you're much more likely to receive a response there.
Flash costs hundreds of dollars just for the software alone. If you get it in a bundle like the Creative Suite or Web Premium, it will cost less overall.

Don't forget, Pencil is also a really good program if you have a good flash converter and it's free.
Hey I think I have pencil on this school laptop somewhere....wait...yep it's here. I'm gunna look into it.
And rio, I don't have very much money. I'll stick to free programs and programs already on here.
And rio, I don't have very much money. I'll stick to free programs and programs already on here.Good choice... but you did ask for the price so C: If you get the Teacher & Student edition, it's much cheaper than the Professional edition. You just can't sell anything you make with that edition.
Oh sorry, I just wanted the price for flash. I can actually use it on this computer but I have to be connected to my schools network. :S
