View Full Version : Closing Threads
02-22-2011, 10:10 PM
So Jubeh, whats the deal between you and the threads?
02-22-2011, 10:16 PM
I've discussed this to death man
02-22-2011, 10:29 PM
what have he say'd?
02-22-2011, 10:34 PM
Listen there's a button that closes a thread after you make a post. You would think it would be hard to hit but you don't actually have to click it. If you click a tiny bit above the post quick reply button it checks it even though you are nowhere near the close thread button itself.
02-22-2011, 10:36 PM
And what if you don't use the quick reply?
And what if you close it, and then quickly desclosed/reopen it?
02-22-2011, 10:38 PM
u need to train ur clicking aim
02-22-2011, 10:40 PM
It's hard to tell when you've closed a thread.
02-23-2011, 12:33 AM
Are your powers limiting you to have a normal life?
02-23-2011, 12:34 AM
I always feel like I'm holding back. Like the whole world is made of cardboard.
02-23-2011, 12:39 AM
I know how you feel, I have played Prototype.
02-23-2011, 12:42 AM
Also clock I dont know if you've read gla but you should know that monkey joe dies.
02-23-2011, 12:47 AM
I know he dies and then Tippy-Toe appear.
I read some of the comics of Squirrel Girl, but I really don't want to read more than what I have, because knowing that a super heroe like this has defeat some mayor villains alone, is like a kick in the balls of the super heroes I love.
ex. of villains she defeated: Deadpool, Thanos, Doctor Doom, and many others.
02-23-2011, 12:52 AM
Yeah I know
02-23-2011, 12:55 AM
But is a funny character, who her powers allow her to have a normal life (kinda).
02-23-2011, 12:59 AM
I'm deciding what else to read with my marvel subscription. I think I've read most of the good stuff.
Also wolverine is in like every marvel comic ever.
02-23-2011, 01:08 AM
What about Venom stories and Power Man and Iron Fist?
02-23-2011, 01:11 AM
I read iron fist. I read all the venom stuff years ago, and I already read thunderbolts. Power man though Iduno.
02-23-2011, 01:18 AM
Well that happens when you read it years ago.
I don't know man, most of the good stuff are already knowed and readed (in Marvel case), so is hard to pick something new and good to read. Maybe Run Aways, but I'm pretty sure you already read it (also is because Marvel never make publicity about any new thing, only old stuff made again).
Edit: What about Doctor Strange?
02-23-2011, 01:21 AM
I haven't read runaways. I pretty much only read dc but a few years back I would read spider-woman and the ultimate stuff. I was into venom in high school because I was dumb.
02-23-2011, 01:23 AM
What are you doing then?! Go and read Run Aways man!
Is from BKV, so you know is good (it has a bad volume, but the others are pretty nice).
02-23-2011, 01:25 AM
Okay Im reading runaways right now.
02-23-2011, 01:27 AM
What if this thread is changed to: The Not-Asian Comics: More ball and more powers!
02-23-2011, 01:31 AM
I don't know how I would feel about that.
02-23-2011, 01:32 AM
Why? you don't want more balls and more power?
02-23-2011, 01:35 AM
I see how accidentally clicking above the thing makes the button get checked off, but it's not hard to see it with your peripheral vision, James. Are you hiding something or something.
02-23-2011, 01:37 AM
John I know you have done it without realizing it. One day you'll slip up.
And I'll be there.
02-23-2011, 01:37 AM
he has mutant powers.
Or a awful mouse skills.
02-23-2011, 01:42 AM
Man if you guys don't watch it I'm just going to close all the threads in the whole world.
02-23-2011, 01:45 AM
That's quite the threat, James... Are you sure you can live up to the repercussions of that statement.
02-23-2011, 01:46 AM
Don't make me do it man.
02-23-2011, 01:48 AM
If you do that I'm going to stop eating tacos.
02-23-2011, 01:48 AM
James I want you to listen to me... Put down the- PUT DOWN THE MOUSE... Just, relax and let's discuss this...
02-23-2011, 01:50 AM
02-23-2011, 02:00 AM
Oh god he's really gonna do it someone pour something into his computer
02-23-2011, 02:06 AM
*Goes into an epileptic fit*
02-23-2011, 02:16 AM
The chances of you actually hitting that small area to check off the box are quite slim, particularly since, if you've got the mouse in your hand, it will be flying through the air and the cursor wont be able to move.
02-23-2011, 02:37 AM
02-23-2011, 02:40 AM
At least we don't have to worry about closed threads anymore
02-23-2011, 12:45 PM
02-23-2011, 01:53 PM
How many tries he might need to close all threads (with his mouse skills)?
02-23-2011, 02:03 PM
This thread can now remain open for all eternity.
02-23-2011, 02:05 PM
I can't tell if you were joking john but you closed the thread with your last post.
02-23-2011, 02:10 PM
James don't try to pull me into this boat of yours
02-23-2011, 02:13 PM
02-23-2011, 02:15 PM
I'm fairly sure that's photoshopped. I can tell from the pixels and I've seen a lot of photoshopped pictures.
02-23-2011, 02:17 PM
Face it you have become what you hated the most.
02-23-2011, 02:17 PM
No... NO! You're lying James! I swore I would never become like you
02-23-2011, 02:24 PM
Its okay john. Together...
We can close all the threads.
02-23-2011, 02:26 PM
This forum needs a new class of criminal
02-23-2011, 02:32 PM
02-23-2011, 02:34 PM
when I see our avatars I think of Kamiyama and Hayashida going on the internet and closing all the threads in the world.
02-23-2011, 02:37 PM
02-23-2011, 07:17 PM
Hey man did you knew that Flash Thompson is going to be the new venom?
02-23-2011, 10:41 PM
Sweet he's got a gun and shit. I'm normally not much of a fan of marvel, but that dude looks p cool.
02-23-2011, 11:22 PM
I'm all against this dude. Is not venom and making Flash Thompson a super hero is one of the worst things that Marvel could do.
02-23-2011, 11:24 PM
he looks cool tho
02-24-2011, 12:20 AM
whys venom need a gun? isnt he space goo?
02-24-2011, 04:04 AM
Runaways is seriously the best comic I've read in a while.
02-24-2011, 02:04 PM
Yeah Run Aways is awesome, it's amazing how there is not going to be a movie or tv serie, just because the studio though that it was to similar to Kick-Ass (and as you see it has nothing in common).
In which volume are you?
02-24-2011, 07:47 PM
Number 27 of the second season. They just went back in time on accident.
To be honest, though, vaughn should write tv or something.
02-24-2011, 11:08 PM
Actually he has. He co-wrote some episodes of Lost (a great geek episode) and he was a co-producer in the fourth season.
02-24-2011, 11:10 PM
Okay I finished all the runaways stuff they had on the site. The joss whedon run wasn't that great. ):
02-24-2011, 11:23 PM
Yeah, but well Joss Whedon is a mayor guy in the TV series and some movie productions.
Also what did happen in the last part of Runaways that is online? (put it in spoiler)
To see if I'm lated or I'm fine with the story.
02-24-2011, 11:57 PM
Some aliens from karoline's planet come to take her to trial because its her dads fault their planet was destroyed but xavin goes in her place.
Then chase sees a girl that looks just like gertrude and then gets hit by a car
02-25-2011, 03:15 AM
The last I read was when the Gibborin were defeated (not the pride, the gibborins). I think there has been some other volumes from the last time I read the comic.
02-25-2011, 03:23 PM
Yeah that was the end of the second or third season. After that whedon takes over and they go back in time and stuff.
02-25-2011, 03:25 PM
Shouldn't you guys like change the name of the thread already?
02-25-2011, 03:25 PM
Oh I need to read that.
But apparently the new stuffs are not writted by BKV.
02-25-2011, 03:26 PM
Joss whedon is a good writer. Did you read astonishing x-men.
02-25-2011, 03:28 PM
Only the first volume.
Even so, is hard to be a bad writter having writted Buffy, Firefly, Dollhouse, Alien Resurection and now The Avengers Movie.
02-25-2011, 03:32 PM
Man the ending is so depressing. You should try to find the rest of it.
02-25-2011, 03:36 PM
I think later I'm going to search some torrents, and if its really good, then I might end putting it in the list of comics I shall buy (is a long and almost impossible list, but I'm working on it).
02-25-2011, 03:38 PM
Also grant morrison's new xmen was rad too.
02-26-2011, 11:37 PM
I got it in parts, and i read the first part only to know I already read it xD lol
But yeah I remember this comic, it was cool (even so, there were some parts I dislike).
03-05-2011, 02:37 PM
now looks like Oz has got the closing-thread-syndrome
03-05-2011, 02:39 PM
Huh? Which thread have I closed? O:
EDIT: WTH. I didn't even press the button... Oh well it's opened now. Sorry 'bout that. XD
