Has anyone read one of these books by James Reston Jr?

Warriors of God, Dogs of God, or Defenders of the Faith? They are good reads I'd highly recommend them.

Warriors of God is about the 3rd crusade, where the armies of Richard the Lionheart and Saladin went up against each other.

Dogs of God is about Christopher Columbus, the Spanish retaking of Granada, and the Inquisition.

Defenders of the Faith is about Suleiman the Magnificent, Charles I of Spain, and the Reformation.

I haven't heard of them but I dig history, so they sound like they'd be awesome. Are they actual accounts or are they kind of a fictionalized story about these real events?

Sounds cool. If I see them at the book store next time I go, I'll take a look at them. Which one of them is your favourite?
