THink this thread may be moved.

Anyway, I listen to mostly metal. That being death metal, black metal, metal metal...and then when I'm in a mood for chillin' out. Hip-hop, mostly underground.
Don't fk with Wu-Tang.

I listen to nothing (play dramatic drum SFX). That's because I can concentrate more if there's no music (or other sound) around me.

sometimes metal, sometimes its pop, and sometimes its Jap-rock. But the most pleasant to hear when draw is Kenny G and Paul Gilbert its really relaxing you know.

I have pretty diverse playlist, mostly rap, hip-pop, and alternative type rock. I really like music with elements of Funk and soul, like De La Soul and I also like stuff that kinda blends genres.

You got beef? bring the ruckes, Wu Tang Clan aint nothin' to fuck with.

For some reason I can't really get into De La Soul, even though there's that weird part of me that thinks I should. D:

When I draw I have a tendency to listen to rap/hip hop music, which is kinda strange because most of my favorite music is alternative rock weirdness. I think if there's too much going on in a song I end up paying more attention to the song than what I'm drawing, and there tends not to be a lot going on technically with rap and hiphop.

I listen to pretty much anything, so long as it suits the mood of whatever I'm drawing (which also tends to reflect my mood). I rarely, though occasionally, listen to country, opera, or extreme heavy metal, however.

I know, I know -- I'm so specific.

Actually, I'm currently on a Karl Jenkins/Infected Mushroom/Eekwol kick.

Mostly rock, alternative, sometimes pop-punk and rap-mixed-with-rock, but rarely (if ever) pop.

I very rarely listen to things with lyrics when I draw. Even if it's just a bit, it takes my mind off the art and makes me think about the lyrics. If I do listen to songs with lyrics, it's usually Nightwish, Kamelot, or Celtic Woman. I stopped listening to pure rock while drawing a year or so ago.

Music.. It depends on what I'm drawing:

1- Rebellious (some strong beats): action drawings
2- Fast beat: sporty
3- Choirs: epic

and sometimes I listen to solo music of any type.

Goldfish is pretty awesome to draw to. It's techno with a splash of jazz and for some reason they can make it work.

A combo of mostly instrumental music. I have a playlist designed for work, writing and drawing which contains:

- Classical
- New Age
- Trance
- the Tron: Legacy Soundtrack
- several Epic Score albums (most amazing music I've ever heard) for example:

Matt, I'm listening to City of the Fallen right now. So cool. They have a different style from Epic Score, a bit less heart pouding but more emotional. I really like it.

Techno if you please! Hardstyle techno is constantly on my ipod. I can listen to just about anything while im drawing because i eventually will just block it out and not notice it for the longest time. I know my art teachers prefered us to listen to music on the slower side because people would try to draw with the same tempo of the song so if you had a fast paced techno song everyone would make crappy pieces cuz they rushed through it all ( LIES!!! i can slow down with any song.).
