Instead of trying to quit cold turkey I am just reducing how much pop ends up in my house. Also I'm only drinking caffeiene free stuff so it doesnt keep me up all night.

02-11-2011, 04:36 PM
Soda isn't my thing, used to be though! I just drink coffee now. You can kick the can easier that way, no pun intended.

02-11-2011, 04:44 PM
I like pop but I don't know if I'm quite ready to give it up yet. I'm not old like you 20+ year olds; I'm still a sprightly 19 year-old.
Mmm sprite...

02-11-2011, 04:48 PM
I'm 19 as well, haha. I started caffeine addiction and coffee drinking when I was 15... not good for my bones. :/

02-11-2011, 04:49 PM
You need more malk

02-11-2011, 04:51 PM
I always drink plenty of...malk?

02-11-2011, 04:57 PM
Now with vitamin R

02-11-2011, 08:26 PM
I drink soda but I don't think I'm addicted. I drink a big bottle (2 L) of CokeCola for 2-3 days.

02-11-2011, 10:32 PM
I'm addicted. I drink like a 2-liter a day. -.-

02-11-2011, 10:59 PM
Jesus dude

02-11-2011, 11:56 PM
Why would I want to stop drinking pop? although I should probably chill on that. I knock out a 2liter in a few hours by myself.

Today I went on google, figured out which pops have the most caffeine in them, and went and bought it....it's Diet Sun Drop. Reason? I've been getting super tired lately and not drawing, I don't ever really gain weight from anything, nothing to lose.
No plans of stopping soon. VIVA LA POP!

Try switching to juice? Having lots of sugar makes me feel sick so I've never had much of a problem :P

02-12-2011, 01:04 AM
are u telling me to do steroids

02-12-2011, 01:21 AM
I think up to about 32-35 it's ok to eat and drink unhealthy. After that one should be more carefull.

02-12-2011, 02:54 AM
There was this one time when i was addicted to cold coffee. I had to have coffee at 11PM. And it had to be cold. And it had to come from a particular stall. I don't remember how i got over it.

And what's wrong with soda? as long as it doesnt have much caffeine...

02-12-2011, 03:04 AM
I wonder if there's a pop out there that tastes like beer. God that'd be horrible.

02-12-2011, 10:54 AM

A lot of juice has more sugar and calories than pop. Same with bottled iced tea. It's also a lot more expensive. You can buy like two or three bottles of diet pop for every 32oz. bottle of apple juice.

02-12-2011, 12:16 PM
I'm gonna give up on energy drink, i didn't drink it for a while and then i just drank like a lot in a day >>....

But i've been drinking lemonade (without bubbles, it's just plain syrup and water) and rooh afza in milk... i'm drinking milk like all the time... i don't know if thats actually good lol

good advice doc

02-12-2011, 05:42 PM
Also that fruitopia drink stuff is delicious, but i can't see it being any better than pop other than it not being carbonated.

02-12-2011, 06:27 PM
i drank rivella tonight.. :( , it was that or some booze so i chose soda... but ... when going out it's hard to stay away from soda :<

02-15-2011, 06:32 PM
to break babies off of juice so they would drink more water i saw my babysitter put some juice in some water.

02-15-2011, 06:43 PM
I always heard you were supposed to dilute juice for kids anyway.

02-15-2011, 07:10 PM
As long as you give kids Juicy Juice or some stupid look-alike-generic brand, they'll be fine. Just don't give them soda, or they'll be off the walls. :/

02-15-2011, 07:36 PM
Juicy Juice still has a lot of sugar, and a lot of moms I know will dilute it with water anyway. It cuts down on the kids' sugar intake a little and helps the juice last longer, since it's like $4 for a bottle here.

02-15-2011, 07:48 PM
Pop nowdays has more corn syrup that anything, they stopped using tons of sugar like...the 60's maybe?
Although if you try the throwback Mtn Dew, I think there is plenty of sugar in that.

02-15-2011, 07:49 PM
Fructose and so on are still sugars, they just don't come from the same plant.

02-15-2011, 07:52 PM
Gaiz, can you tell me where I can buy a bottle of Coke that was made back when they were still using crack in the formula?

02-15-2011, 08:09 PM
You can get them at antique shops and some tourist traps if you look hard enough.

02-15-2011, 08:23 PM
I mean with the Coke still in the bottle....damned. Does anyone have a time machine I could borrow?

02-16-2011, 10:48 AM
some1 supposedly found the secret recipe so u can use that to make ur own

02-16-2011, 12:20 PM
I dunno man, I don't feel like buying crack and all the other stuff to make my own original Coke...guess I'm sol.

02-16-2011, 11:32 PM
A friend of mine did the tooth in the soda test and he said that his tooth disintegrated. Ever since then, he's been off of soda for good.

Anyways, I don't drink soda anymore. I just found them too sweet one day, gave me a headache and I've stopped drinking them since. O_O Occasionally, I try to drink them again just to see if anythings different but nope! Nothing's changed.

@ Bya
Milks good for ya. It helps build your bones. C:

02-16-2011, 11:38 PM
Idunno, I've never broke a bone and I've taken some pretty hard slams that 'should've' snapped me like a twig while skating...and I never drink milk. And I hate it unless it's in me cookies or cereal.
Whilst everyone else who seems to drink a crapton of milk has at least broken one bone in their lifetime. Odd?

02-17-2011, 04:59 AM
I have no regrets about my coke addiction; I'm just here on a court order.

02-17-2011, 12:42 PM
water's better, weirdos

02-26-2011, 10:58 AM
Even this water?

Want some advice? Drink as much pop as you can. You know how pop fills you up because of the fizziness? Just drink a lot of pop and you wont want to eat anything and then you can diet and lose weight really fast.

03-01-2011, 12:43 PM
or go to the gym and train Pokemon procore

03-01-2011, 02:40 PM
When i was in like 7th grade our science teacher told us that the reason little kids dont eat much is because they are constantly swallowing their boogers (or mucus) and the stomach acid either cant or takes forever to digest it( and somthing about it coating the walls of your stomach so you dont get ulcers). so yea quit the loogies and curb your appetite.

I admit to having an addiction to soda. I have an anxiety disorder tho so i only have a caffinated drink once in a while (1 a week maybe?i had to cut back on chocolate too OTZ) otherwise its sprite or sierra mist. Its illegal in canada to have caffine in a clear soda pop.

03-01-2011, 02:53 PM
According to a study by a university in Texas, I think, too much pop is bad for your heart. But if you just have one can a day, you'll be okay.

Though one a day seems like a lot to me.

03-01-2011, 03:04 PM
I heard the women shouldnt have it at all. Allso that the diet ones are the worst for you. I only have one on the days i work and i can make it stretch the entire night.

03-02-2011, 12:33 AM
I usually have coke cos it's the pop I like best, but I almost always have either diet coke or coke zero just cos I like the taste better. Though yeah, the aspartame is bad for you I guess. -___-
Why'd they have to stop selling vanilla coke here though, that stuff was so good I would drink it all the time.

03-02-2011, 01:39 AM
Just bought another liter of Diet Sun Drop. Been chugging it down for the past few hours. It has the highest caffeine amount out of all the other pops haha...I'm gonna die.

03-02-2011, 03:17 AM
I think i totally messed myself up with a soda today. I was craving a pepsi so i got one and it spiked my anxiety big time.

03-02-2011, 11:48 AM
The best thing is when I go to a fast food restaurant and order like two burgers, fries and a diet coke.
