Well it's been about a year since my last thread and today I figured I might as well start a new one. Who knows, maybe it'll give me some incentive to get stuff done.

So, why not start off with something rather MT oriented?

Sketch and base colours for Kodos' OC Hevisa -- she's a sexy succubus.

http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/4262/posehevisa.png
I wanted to do something a little more elaborate -- more skulls and bones, maybe have her holding something like a severed head, I dunno *shrug* -- but unfortunately I'm a procrastinator and I have other things to do now. I also got tired of looking through all the DnD threads for descriptions of her, so I kind of made up her outfit.

Critique is always welcome; don't be afraid to judge harshly.

That is all for now.

edit: my DA (tailortot.deviantart.com), in case you care.

Her right leg seems to be a bit dislocated, like it's popping out the hip. I'd erase a bit of it and move it more inwards.
The left hand seems a bit "2D" compared to her pose, maybe you could turn it so it shows more of the fingers.
Also try and add some shading? It looks hot as it is though. And I love the pose, the way her legs are positioned balances things out pretty well.

Good points, Gunz, thanks for the feedback. Could you maybe be a bit more specific about the leg -- I mean, should I bring the actual hip in as well, or just the part under it?

And just so I'm not pointlessly bumping my thread:

Ahaha, I WISH. But thanks -- and that would probably be 'cause I have never posted a picture of myself on MT before. 'Bit surprised you didn't see me in one of my old Skype pictures though.

I haven't been on skype in a while and if it was from one of the really old ones, I never really looked at those pictures. Not to mention they're so small it's hard to make out anything in them.

the hat on the last one has an odd shadow. the light stops at the top of the cross when that whole side should be in shadow. why is that baby wearing no pants? whats the robots name? (i vote for Bzt) on that little witch is that hair or a hair bow? and why is her skirt hanging so low? Scandalous!

Psy: Thanks for noticing the shadow, and that toddler has no pants because she is wearing a nightgown. :P The robot does not have a name, as of yet. However, I'm liking Bzt. Aaaand I think that's hair.

Gimme a sec..............ok i had enough of the boobs now for the CnC! So her (HER) left thigh looks a bit wonky with that urm......fold?.....if you'd remove that it would be ok, this way it seems that she can bend her thighs +A+ Also i think her hip( and crotch) part are a bit too small in comparisson to the rest of the body especially to the head! . So there hope it helps.

hmm... tay try to imagine the bone on her leg.(i'm sorry about this cause i don't do redline) :cat_dead:
you might notice it's a little too much curved. the reason is because you made a too much gap or too much space on the thigh. the main problem is the lines on her right leg.

and they look too much equally near the front if you ask me. the right leg should look a little farther from the back just a little bit.. just a little bit.

left arm as well along with her elbow just look at it and imagine the bone structure and i'm sure you'll get it..:cat_teardrop: sorry about this critique, as long as you understand well enough. but if you really want a redline i'll do it for you. (that is if you really don't understand

Ahah, thanks for the c 'n c, guys. I've made a few minor adjustments according to some of the crits, but I've decided that there are so many things that are bothering me about her pose/anatomy that I will likely just end up redrawing the whole thing later.

As for why she's topless... well, it is kind of an important characteristic for her, but mostly -- I just felt like it. :P

clockhand we are each entitled to our own opinions you're not "more right" than other people—I think that if he had defined the breasts less by only drawing the contours instead of drawing the breasts in their entirety it would have been better.

ClockHand

First, "SHE", is not a he, she is a female (Taylour/indescribable).
Second, If someone has their own opinion why do you care about mine? I say her draw is perfect, I might not like some details in it (like the face), but those are just personals, the draw in itself and the decisions she did to bring movement to a static image and to her style are perfect.
Third, I completely disagree with you in defining less the breasts (not just because are breast, and would be a sin to do something like that), but is because she took a decision of not doing it (I'm pretty sure she is aware of that option) and she gave a draw that represent movements without doing what you say.
