Summary: Gray is a man with no emotions. And, apparently, a man possessed by a demon. He sets out to discover what's happening to him and how to defeat it.
At the writing of this post, Sinister is approximately 49 pages long, give or take some extra pages. It is divided into chapters, and the easiest way to read it is on DrunkDuck.

I will be posting new pages here in this thread as well as on DrunkDuck, but I won't be dropping an image-bomb with the entire backlog.
Comments are very much welcome, as well as criticism - however I have to be honest: I pretty much never go back and change things in previous pages - instead, I rely on user input to determine what to do better in the future. I would like to go back and fix things, but any time I have for drawing I either waste reading stupid stuff on the internet or drawing new pages. It already takes me far too long to draw pages anyway - I've been drawing Sinister for a year and a half now. Don't bother doing the math, it's disappointing =P

Anyhow. It's good to know that we'll finally know exactly what the agent's motives are soon... As ussual the art is nothing to complain about. Reg is digging the perspectives and backgrounds in perticular.
If I had to offer any critisims, it would be that the size of some of the people in the bottom panel is a bit offputting; Aysu in perticular looks like she would be bigger than the doorframe standing up... :o

Looking good to me, but I had problems following the dialouge on that last pannel. Then again, I'm kind of sleepy.

@Reg: Thanks! The backgrounds in this page were done by rendering the basic scene in Google Sketchup, and then I traced the general shapes and added detail myself.
This is why the character heights aren't exactly correct... I need to be more careful in the future about taking measurements for height to correct that, I guess.
@Bacon: Nah, it's not just you... I had trouble fitting the dialogue in that frame - hadn't completely planned it out beforehand.

Heh...not too long, actually - the outlines of the country were traced off a vector map I found somewhere. Now, attempting to three-color the map took me a while, though, because that algorithm is exponentially complex and/or not always possible...maybe I should have just tried like 4 colors to begin with or something :P

Eh, usually it's not too bad, but I found the character's heads and necks a little too big on that last page in perticular. Other than that, the pacing and dialogue is still really quite good, through. Reg is waiting on seeing who the intruder is. ;I

Hm, yes. I think it's more like, the rest of the body isn't quite big enough... not sure if there's a quantifiable difference between the two though :P Thanks for the comment, it's nice to have someone else's opinion on how things are going.
More to come soon, hopefully... with RPM out of the way I'm having an agreeably large chunk of free time.

New page! I wasted a decent chunk of time accidentally inking on top of my sketch layer for a few panels of this... you'd think I'd have learned that lesson by now :P Ah well.

Your mess-up is kinda amusing in itself considering the content of the page... :p
Anyway. The art and dialogue is pretty solid. The mountains in the background of the last pannel are the only things that stick out as looking a bit weird, just 'cause they are all conjoined.
Wonder what these guys are actually going to deploy...

Thanks Bacon! Second panel took me a while, hopefully it's obvious that the thing in the middle is a trench and not a river... may have gone overboard on specular lighting.
As far as the mountains go, the way I fill it in with contour lines just kinda looks weird with the gradient and all. Technique just needs a little tweaking. Not that I plan on filling *more* space with pictures of mountains or anything... >_>

Eh, I was just saying that they look odd cause they are all sorta stuck togeather as one big mound... If you drew them all as seperate mountains with a few peaking out from behind, things probally would have looked better without much added effort. That said, the detail in the second pannel is pretty awesome. :o

Oh... Nt to sound like an ass, but I did think it was a river. If you made it look a little lighter that might help. And sometimes you just have mountain ridges, it's OK. I think. IDK man, just keep up the good work. (And listen to Reg)

So apparently DrunkDuck's hosting provider had a megafail and lost every file stored after January 13th... they were able to restore the old comics, sans images.. after I had already gone through and re-added them manually, thus making me go back in again and just upload the pages again. Tons of fun! All the links and such should work now, though... let me know if there are problems.

Grass (the long grass) looks really good on the 25th update. In the 6th pannel, the girl's arm is all woncky, like their's no elbow (her arm is making a U). The 30th update is very good overall, you worked in some nice dynamic poses. The only thing that I dislike is the wolf, and that's only because it's creepy.

New page... so I was on Ubuntu today when I finished drawing this page and thought I'd try and just typeset it in Linux using OpenOffice Draw.... big mistake, folks. Sucks terribly. Stick to the GIMP if you're using Linux. I really can't recommend Macromedia Fireworks enough, but yeah, no Linux support there.

Whoops. S'been like ten pages since I've looked in on this... Whilst cool stuff was happening, too. The hellhound looked pretty badass in the pannel where he was getting shot in the face, but I'm asuming that the others are similar?... They are pretty neat for flunkies. Really wondering what their leaders look like now...
Anyway, keep it up man. The art quality, perticularly the toning, is starting to get even more consistant. :3

Yeah, that's correct. I guess there hasn't really been enough confirmation to completely demonstrate that yet, but yeah, it's just a voice in Gray's head.

Gwerk. If Aysu's neck was smaller on the last page's fourth pannel, the foreshortening would have been perfect... The front of the neck just needed moving further back, really...

Hum. Swore I replied to that last page.
Anyway. The double page split is a little confusing to me, to be honest. I can sort of gather that he's just punching the door at the same time as the enemy exploded because of the backgrounds, with with so much going on in between, it blurs the "cause and effect" a little... If you were really arsed about going back an fixing it, the best thing I could suggest is to just have him knocking right through the door all in the first panel; That way that specific action is over and done with...
Reg is still periodically keeping an eye on this, anyway, Nyarlaguy. Keep at it, dude. :o

I agree that the cause of the explosion is a bit too 'inferred'... another fix I thought about was adding a panel of the dog actually exploding - couldn't really find a good place to put it, though, so I punted :P

Cool page. Nice silhouette effect. Though the scar on the chick's neck doesn't make much sense. If it's going from her jawline to her neck, then it should kind of dip in under her chin and thus further into the image, so it wouldn't be lined up with the portion that's on her cheek. It would probably be more toward the front of the neck.

Hurm. Overall the detail is pretty good; Making someone obviously female despite hefty eyebrows and a scar is harder than it sounds. The misalignment of said scar is really the only thing I can pick out either. ;I

Quite a nice action scene; I can tell you spent some serious time on that gun in panel three. Really no complaints about this one. Maybe it would have been a little more dynamic if you zoomed in during panel four, through? (I.E. Had her filling the entire blank area.)

Hmmm, been stalking your thread now for a while....wow. You are my envy. You've actually kept up with your pages! (I lack such dedication...)
Anyway everything looks good. The only thing I would suggest is the font and dialogue boxes look a little...cheap. You should consider doing the boxes/bubbles by hand. I don't know though, it probably works for your style as-is.
The other thing would be to reccomend some variation with your action poses...some of them look a little stiff. ;)
But wow, your pacing is amazing! Love the tone work...keep it up man!

@Rebel: Thanks for the feedback! Hand-drawing speech bubbles isn't a bad idea, so I think I'll give that a shot... my handwriting is far too poor for me to write in the dialogue though :P

The pages definitely meet their goal of being as grizzly as smeg...
If I had to offer some immediate critique, through, it would be that there are one or two things wrong with her face. Lines to separate her ears from the rest of the head would go a long way to stop things from looking so flat, and her top row of teeth look like they are facing too far upwards. It could be the lighting, but she looks like she might be missing an eyebrow aswell.
Other than that, the hair is looking great, and the wolves/blood pretty damn visceral. The impact is definitely there, and that's much harder to achieve than some might think...
Now all that's left is me wondering if you actually are going to kill her off so soon. >_>

Tried drawing two pages at once this time. Apparently it didn't actually increase my average page-production time, but given the dumb hours I've been working recently, it definitely increased my throughput.
