I drew something in the doodle room and went back later to retouch it and a thing came up saying no connection and it wouldn't let me send it.

I've gotten that error before, but only when my internet connection is acting up. There's not much you can do except wait a couple minutes and try submitting the changes again or starting over from your last save.
