View Full Version : Things you're happy about

Finally made that thread, yo, bwa ha ha.... but seriously, with threads like what are your regrets, character flaws, bla bla bla, really not doing too good, think is time for some levity, ja?

I'm happy about this hair cut, feeling good, man. In fact, I feel ecstatic, god damn, man, elated, ha ha ha. I'm also down a pant size, lost 30-35 lbs, I feel I have more energy, can move faster, I don't know feel less lazy, and my reflexes are better, so hell yeah.

What are you happy about, please explain why you feel happy about whatever made you happy.

I reached 14,000 words in my novel. Nine chapters to go and feeling great about it.

tbh... there's not much big that makes me happy... my happiness are only temporary breaks in my concerns when I play a video game, watch a movie (without arguments, so often alone) or draw without annoying fails. But there is 1 thing that make me happy, and then I mean actual happy and not temporary breaks like the other stuff. Having a good friend that really care for me and wants to be there for me in both good and bad. I got 1 like that, but also some others that's close but unsure if close enough. It's not much, but it's something to live for.

Near completion of a novel, and a good friend, great stuff. I love it, yeah, keep it up, good people.

I'm happy that I've finished NaNoWriMo and JulNoWriMo totalling just under 110,000 words.

Mr_Liebe

No clue what those are, but hey, congrats bro.

Renzokuken
06-17-2012, 04:10 PM
NaNoWriMo is an event in November in which you have to write a 50,000 word novel. The same applies for JulNoWriMo only it's in July.

Mr_Liebe
06-17-2012, 04:13 PM
Ah, then allow me to replace my seemingly less than interested congrats, with a more energetic, and empathic one.....

Man, that's just awesome, bro, congreatulations, man.

That is seriously awesome and I feel awesome for you. I failed both years I tried NaNo, but I've discovered since then that I am, in fact, an outline writer, not a discovery writer. So I'll be there on the finish line with you this year.

For me, well, it's always eltoroguaco that makes me happy, and my boyfriend(who sadly isn't really an artsy person) Without them I'd really find it hard to have a good talk with someone, someone to make me laugh and cry with. But, else, music. Music is the shit of my life as well.

Not much is making me happy at the moment, but I felt happy yesterday because I helped my friend clean her scungy old apartment that she just moved out of. It was horrible, so I had a great sense of achievement at the end of it :P. I read somewhere a suggested happiness exercise where at the end of the day you list off 10 good things that happened to you that day. Its meant to help you change to a more positive way of thinking. I'm not sure if it works though since if you don't have much good stuff going on you end up being like 'oh yeah that sandwich I had for lunch was great' and its kind of more depressing than if you hadn't done it. Thoughts? Anyone else care to try it out?

being alive? having a education? having a place to live? having friends? had a great life overall? having food on the table? people carrying about you? no one close to you die?

Clock, those things are all true, but they don't necessarily=happiness. There is a difference between being grateful and being happy. While I have the perspective to realize I am incredibly lucky to have those things and am grateful for them they do not make my day to day moods suddenly always amazing. If that's how you function then you are pretty lucky.

ClockHand
06-17-2012, 08:52 PM
so you start your day be being just depressed for no reason?

Inksprout
06-17-2012, 08:56 PM
I never said it was for no reason. There are reasons. They are just not because I lack any of the things you listed. There are lots of other reasons to be sad then just the massive ones you listed. Also I'm trying to over come it, because I know its bullshit for someone in my position to feel this way. I find its not as simple as just flicking a switch though.

ClockHand
06-17-2012, 08:57 PM

Inksprout
06-17-2012, 09:05 PM
Its the sort of problems that I am reminded of often by things I see or do or say or think so its fairly hard to leave them alone. I'm just trying to distract myself from them all the time

ClockHand
06-17-2012, 09:09 PM

Thanks dude. Assuming that I can make it to the finish line >.>. Might've just been fluke the second time. JulNoWriMo doesn't count 'cause I had a whole summer to finish. Anyway, yeah, it'd be a nice for both of us to finish.

It just occured to me that, quite possibly, when I leave this wretched, filthy, pitiful, piece of shit of a town, that I'll probably never come back.....

fuck yes!!

I'll be free, man, free, I'll be able to leave my demons behind, and start fresh, create a whole new image for my self, something truly beautiful, you know? Hell yes, man, shit.... I could almost cry, I'm so happy.

Reno, it's as hot over there, still in da desert, but there's a lot more to do over there.

Theres like 50x more people, and it's 100x more fun, so is not bad.

Side note, I had a great workout, so hell yeah, ha ha ha. Yeah, I forgot to mention that earlier.

I'm happy I came back here. Sure there are some unpleasant people here, but most of you guys are all right in my book, so hey, is all good. I'm also happy that I started drawing again, I'm having a lot of fun with it-draws big boobed chicks- ha ha ha!!!

Phew... ha ha ha, I'm not taking a plane, we're going to drive in the day before the interview, so is all good, ha ha ha. Load off my mind, man.

Evil_Cake

what did you do duane

Mr_Liebe
06-24-2012, 08:46 PM
I was talking about the hypothetical murder, and I think it can be accidental.

As for the assualt, well, the person would have it coming, I only punch someone if they really pissed me off.

As for Haya's question, nothing.

Inksprout
06-24-2012, 08:50 PM
accidental murder is called manslaughter isn't it?

Mr_Liebe
06-24-2012, 08:53 PM
accidental murder is called manslaughter isn't it?

Ah, hypothetical manslaughter, then.

Again, though, that's worse case scenario, an assualt is far more likely.

No, we are arch enemies, destined to fight to the death. ;D

I'm also happy that I'm almost eighteen—not for conventional reasons, though. I'm happy because I get about $20,000 from a malpractice lawsuit when I was a newborn wherein my arm almost had to be amputated. Oh yeah, and 18 is nice because I don't need parental consent to go to body modification artists. c:

Why did it almost get amputated Seefy?
A tourniquet got left on my arm for more than 24 hours, and it cut my circulation. It swelled, turned purple, and the tourniquet itself rotted in my dying skin.

Had a great workout yesterday, started lifting light weights with heavy reps, and man, best work out I've had in a while, this is much better than the other way I work out, ha ha ha.

Today, I gave my dad $60 to pick up my preorder of Uncharted 3 that I hadn't had money for due to a lack of a job for the past year. He came back with the game and $20 and said, "You saved twenty dollars by waiting a year."

And Uncharted 3 has great character development, and I'm happy about that.

Rei is drawing one of my characters for the pimp thread, and I'm really happy about that.

I smell food downstairs, and that's making me even happier.

We got new air conditioners, it's 90-something outside, and it's 70 in here.

I'm at 20,000 in my novel, more than the only other story I've ever "finished" (two years ago, was 16, story was crap).

I passed all my fencing tests, now I only have a final, which is basically the only one that can determinate if I pass or not. And if I get between the 3 bests, I might get a spot on a local tournament. So things are going pretty well.
