At the moment, it sounds fine, but I imagine that I'll eventually settle down with some chick, do the whole marriage thing. Hopefully once, cause divorce is a bitch.

I don't have a problem with staying single forever. Just as long as I get a bootycall once in a while.

CypressDahlia

I've been dating a girl for over 3 years now but we have a good balance of distancing and time to ourselves.

Can't imagine living with her or marrying her TBH. WILL PROBABLY END UP SINGLE AGAIN SOON ENOUGH.

ClockHand

You are not single. So you can't be single forever.

well, you can, but you will be a silver single, not a gold single.

I've been single since October of 2011 after a looong relationship that lasted 2 years over my 'I'm not into you anymore' limit. If I ca't be in a relationship where me an my GF are on the same emotional level (seeing as I'm retarded this shouldn't be hard to do)...then I'd happily be single.

So fuck off.

Mr_Liebe
05-26-2012, 12:37 AM
Easy, easy, let's remain cordial, please.

I had a girl, as well, wanted to get down after a couple of days. I'm sure she's the type of girl Sylux likes, but me I wanted to get to know here, but alas, ha ha ha.

Mr_Liebe

That's horrible James. Why would you do that to your kids.

I don't mind other people's kids, I just hate the thought of having my own. The wonderful thing about nieces and nephews and friends' kids is that you can hand them back to their parents when they start acting shitty.

Dude, I do not understand... Other people's kids have been annoying the crap out of me lately. I used to babysit all the time in high school, and i liked the kids I babysat, but recently all kids are getting on my nerves. >:( Although the fact that you can give them back whenever is definitely a good thing.

Also thanks Liebe. Who knows, on one hand I feel like my being single is just going to happen - its like an instinct - on the other hand I'm kind of happy about it b/c it gives me free reign over how my future pans out (also no kids.) . I don't have to worry about another person's goals. Bit selfish, I know, but whatevs.

I have studied women in my lifetime, and I would be the perfect roleplay candidate. Are you ready to begin, Bacon? I'm at a snack bar and I have some cheese fries. I twirl one around and then I put it down, back into the tray, along with my head, but that onto the table, sulking in my seat.

@Jubeh: Man ... Hmm. I dunno. I'd probably go and take her aside sometime we were already hanging out and ask her if she'd like to go to an upcoming convention. Preferably I'd just hang out with her more in general and try to get a read on how she liked me being around.

This is the single forever thread, right? Besides, I'm not really a misogynist, I'm just terribly disgusted by most women. I don't hate them or anything. It's kind of like when you eat too much pizza, and then you try to take another bite and you just want to throw up.

Of course it's sad, it's fucking depressing, but there's really nothing I can do at this point in my life. I'm about to leave for 5 months, so that's not enough time to 'give women a chance' again, and I have a life with my band. The guitarist is in a seriously relationship and it fucks the band schedule up so much. He called us and asked if he could take his girlfriend to a show once, but we said no because we didn't think there would be enough room. He not only showed up 2 hours late to load up, but he brought her fucking along with him "just in case there was some room." There really wasn't, but everyone squeezed together for her.

The sense of self entitlement because they can give birth and that without them we wouldn't be here despite the fact that if not for us they well, ya ya ya.
The fuck kind of logic is this?

Bacon_Barbarian

Mr_Liebe
05-26-2012, 02:22 AM
having the ability to give birth = them being god, or something, some kind of complex ja?

It's just one thing that bothers me about women, other than that and a couple other things, they're all right.

Sylux
05-26-2012, 02:25 AM
You can't just make a blanket statement that things about women bother you unless you're talking about something they all have. I'm not sick of all women, per se, some are my friends, but I wouldn't date any of these girls and women.

Mr_Liebe
05-26-2012, 02:27 AM
I apologize, I just get really pissed off by this.

corastaur
05-26-2012, 02:28 AM
It's just one thing that bothers me about women, other than that and a couple other things, they're all right.

You realize that mainly applies to ultra feminists... They tend to be the ones to shove that in other's faces - and it's because for centuries women were put down... It wasn't that long ago that women were expected to stay at home and pop out kids. Those women are just overcompensating for years of being oppressed. It may get annoying, but cut them some slack.

Sylux
05-26-2012, 02:29 AM
Alright, Duane, it's understandable, but I really do not tolerate sexism on any level like that. Sexualization towards women is as far as I'll let it go, anger towards women is not something I approve of.

Cora, I could make the same argument about blacks, but they aren't all exactly overcompensating whatsoever, like women, in your argument. They're really in similar boats.

corastaur
05-26-2012, 02:35 AM
Sy I agree, victims of racial and sexual biases/discrimination are definitely in the same boat... but I didn't understand the next part. Did you mean that women are overcompensating and black people arent? or that some of both are...

Sylux
05-26-2012, 02:37 AM
Yes, I mean that some of both are. To be fair, they are both still oppressed, though.

corastaur
05-26-2012, 02:40 AM
Alright cool :) then I agree with everything you said haha. And yes, I believe they are definitely both still oppressed to some extent. It really sucks, because all everyone wants is to be equal and get the basic respect a human being deserves.

Mr_Liebe
05-26-2012, 02:41 AM
I've given too much slack, to too many people, besides, we're not talking about the women who were treated so badly in the past, we're talking about women who... well I'm not sure they really have anything to fight for any more. Your argument was compelling, and I didn't just ignore it, I read it, and it really is nice, but they weren't the ones who experienced the brunt of the shit.

As for not getting angry at women, if I get angry at one I get angry, if you should be angry at me, that's fine. However, I'm not going sugar coat my words if that particular woman offends me merely because she's a woman, no women want equality. I aim to let them have it, but none of this choosing what parts they likem and ignoring the rest. You can call me stupid, or retarded, whatever you like, but this is how I feel, all people should be treated equally.

CypressDahlia
05-26-2012, 02:41 AM
Anyway, the whole reason I'm planning on staying single forever is because I enjoy my privacy too much. I mean I have room mates, but they don't sleep in the same friggin bed as I do. That's just too much. I like personal space and I hate being nagged.

Having a woman in my life would violate both those tenets.

And TBH, if a woman were to hold what happened 50 years ago against me, I'd probably just be like, "bitch plz I didn't have anything to do with that."

Sylux
05-26-2012, 02:41 AM

This thread devolved into dysfunctional/hormonal kids slapping their frustrations against each other.

What impressed me the most is some of them think turning down a girl's advances is some sort of badge of honor. Because apparently all males are sex driven zombies and we can't say no.

CypressDahlia
05-26-2012, 02:44 AM

What? I'm too slam tired to make a truly intelligible response, but I would like a relationship partner, honestly, but I don't have the emotional wealth to invest in anything like that, especially since I'm only fucking 16. Where I come from you coat your body in oil after sex and light yourself on fire. If the girl likes you, she'll put you out.

But seriously, I'm pretty much the same. I couldn't cope without some degree of privacy from other people.

Same here. I can't even sleep in the same bed as another person unless I'm completely exhausted, even if it's a huge bed. I like to cuddle, but having another person touch me when I'm trying to sleep just annoys the shit out of me. The last two boyfriends I had, I'd just wait til they were sleeping, put my underwear and shirt on and move to the couch. It really bothered them, and I guess I can see why, but it's not really something I can help. Like I try to put up with it and just go to sleep, but every little movement the other person makes wakes me up.

I really like being in a relationship, so I can't imagine being single for ever. On the other hand I think I really need to try to stay single for a while now since my taste in guys seems to be horrible. I feel like the sleeping in the same bed thing is really over rated, but at the same time I really like sleeping with someone else so maybe for me its just a matter of finding that specific person who would also like it.

Sleeping in the same bed is sort of inevitable at a certain point if you understand... but aside from that, this is like me. I'd hate being single forever. I hate being single at all. It's really depressing not to have anyone to share one's emotions with on a deeper level than you can with friends or family. Hell, I'd prefer it if polyamorous relationship were acceptable, because there are some things I'd want to talk about with certain partners that I wouldn't feel comfortable talking about with others.

There are people who are unable to be alone. They end a relationship and they jump to a next person so fast that it almost look like cheating. I have always thought that this kind of person have a problem, a very sad one, because not only you don't know them alone but also they get in the most creepy relationships. Let's hope you are not like them.

Yeah seriously. I didn't even realize I wasn't allowed to not like it until I heard matsumoto say it. It's super awkward why is it expected of us. Also I'm gigantic so its totally unfair to whoever is next to me.

CypressDahlia
05-26-2012, 03:06 PM
Yep. I'm used to having free reign over my private space. Also I have a weird ass sleeping schedule so it would undoubtedly clash with anyone who ended up sleeping in my bed on the reg. My girlfriend often has to ask me to turn the laptop brightness down when she's trying to sleep and I'm just like, "fk it I'm going to the living room."

But I don't want to do that forever. It's annoying enough as it is.

So far I don't think that I am like this, because I can be alone. I just imagine that I won't be alone all the time. But yeah, there wasn't a big space between my previous 2 relationships so I feel like now is a good time to give myself a break.

As a gay man I can tell you that if you want a girlfriend you'd better not be super close friends with her first. Friendzoning is bound to happen. Hang out with them but don't get so damn comfortable around them that they want you to just go shopping with them and shit.

I don't want to be single forever but it is allways an option. I want kids and I can do that by myself thru adoption but I'd want some one to pass a brat off to and say "you're problem". I am not comfortable with myself now and trying to be who I want to be so I see no point in trying for a relationship where I'm not going to be comfortable around my boyfriend. I don't really want to have any biological kids because I think it's pretty likely and fucked up to pass on my family's anxiety disorder but if I do have a kid with my same DNA it would potentially be set for life.

Yes you can. It's a lot harder but it's not illegal to adopt. I know a single woman that shops at my store and she adopted a little girl from china when the baby was 2. She had to go live in china for a few weeks but she did it. The girls 8 now. It's harder to adopt from a foreign country than it is from in the U.S. but again not impossible.

Admittedly I was over exaggerating, but it still isn't easy. Especially since you'd have to face additional bias, not just for being gay, but being a single man. The courts don't favor men in family related stuff as it is. That's why most of the time women get to keep the kids in a divorce, even when they aren't suited to be parents.

*rants*

I wish you the best of luck though.
