Like 2 years Sean Long...19 right now so need to catch up. I rushed this one I kinda see what you mean. Wanted her to be a little bulky too. I prefer not to upload anymore stuff until I get a new scanner but I mind as well. Gonna upload something tonight probably. Thanks for teh critque.

no problem I'm going to keep an eye on your art work cos its still good
01-18-2011, 10:26 PM
I drew a copy of Bengus' Akuma for muscle practice. It's a little funky.
01-19-2011, 04:17 PM
I think its really good but the proporsions are off you need to make the leg facing towards us longer and it will look good
good job keep up the good work...by the way did you get your new scaner?
01-19-2011, 07:15 PM
Nope still my old scanner. I generally don't worry about proportions though since everyone has different ones. I'll measure them next time for you since you seem like my only commentor lol.

Man, you should ink. It's make things a lot clearer for us. Or up you scanners contrast. Or both.

yea may be boost the contrast cos it its alittle hard to see but i dont have a problem with it
and yea that would be good

Redlined. You really hyperextended the right buttocks on the first one.
Also, you need to have more confidence in your lines.

Bacon Barbarian: I'll ink something soon since my sketching isn't coming out too well.
Joosh: Lol I am not really going to say if i'm that or not, but you can use your imagination.
Sean Long: I hope I get a new scanner soon for you I tried heighting the contrast but think I did it wrong.
Cypress: Thanks for the red line I see the right leg is messed up now. Also i'll try being more sketchier and bolder with the next drawing.

I am trying to copy Shinkiro's style from now on. Prepare for alot of semi-realistic potraits as I style explore!
01-23-2011, 01:56 AM
Ah, since you're going into this kind of style, you definitely need to focus on one thing: CONTRAST. If you observe his work, he uses plenty of contrast and dark, definite lines to create the semi-realistic effect. Here, I've touched this up a bit to show you how effective a bit of contrast + some strong lines can be:

Lol I see, I need alot of work. Going to use a B pencil then. Going for a almost fullbody pic next. Thanks going to try to vary the contrast.

Just an old sketch to bump my thread, not doing too well with copying Shinkiro atm. http://oi56.tinypic.com/qwyk2o.jpg
I like where your style's going--looks like I'll have another artist to stalk here. Could you draw darker, though? Or at least play with the exposure in Photoshop or Gimp.
02-04-2011, 04:25 PM
Thanks Matt I think I darken this one too btw.
So the copying of his style is going ok, tried to darken it like you guys said. Btw the first one I drew was my own it's Kohaku from Melty Blood. This one is a copy of Athena from KoF; the eyes are a little off. Trying to go like Idnar http://idnar.deviantart.com/ or the original artist http://www.creativeuncut.com/art_capcom-vs-snk-2_a.html or my own spin to it. Linking Shinkiro and Idnar because Shinkiro made the style up and Idnar copied sorta well. Also so you guys can critque me easier.http://oi53.tinypic.com/2isb8qw.jpg
Is there something underneath her ear? Because if there isn't hair there, then you've pretty much cut into her skull.

I honestly would give you feedback, but I cannot see a thing. I recommend inking or lowering brightness and raising contrast on your scanning options. I'm sure it is worth critiquing, so I must see it! :S

Lol yea Rio there is hair there, just forgot to shade it like with the buckle on the head with this drawing. Also Pwhit I can't making darker until I get another scanner, sorry XD.
Drew Bridget from Guilty Gear think I finally see what I am heading for. So this will be the redition of his style. Just need practice now.

03-16-2011, 08:06 PM
Nope made it up, random OC.

03-16-2011, 08:27 PM
Not often lol. I will soon though.
oh please do. I think itd take it to a new level even if it was just lined.
03-26-2011, 03:31 AM
As I can see your good at proportions , but try to use clean lines.
03-26-2011, 01:09 PM
