View Full Version : Face Maker - Interested?

Just curious if any of you guys think people would jump over a face maker. Not with just one set like FoxRichards' Face Maker but with options for different-style type of sets (chibi's, mecha's, etc). Kind of mentioned this in the project GD thread (http://www.mangatutorials.com/forum/showthread.php?1997-What-projects-are-you-working-on) but it crossed my mind that it could work for video game makers as well.

Btw, what's the average size (width and height) of in-game avatars these days?

Interested? Sure. The size depends on the game. With that in mind, would the face maker maybe feature vector-based images so that they can be scaled to any size? If that's too much trouble, most sprites are pretty small.

But that's not just a face, so it's kinda disqualified.

Vector would be great as you say since it's scalable but that limits the program that can be used for people to use in the browser to just Flash. And as far as I've seen, I haven't encountered a Flash app that can save images as a vector file (or anything else for that matter). But I'll dig into it some more and see if it's possible.
