INTRODUCTION
What is this?
Terminus Est is the uninspired name for numerous Dungeons and Dragons campaigns all being run by myself. The campaigns take all take place in the same universe (well, multiverse, really) and feature recurring characters, themes, and locales, and while each campaign has its own plot, all the campaigns are part of a grander, whole, unified meta-plot.
All of the campaigns are ostensibly taking place at the same time unless otherwise noted (The Drow campaign is a prequel to the other Asul campaigns taking place an undisclosed length of time before the start of Party A), but really it doesn’t work out quite right. Just assume one or more of the player characters are Time Lords and things make a lot more sense.
Giant fuck-off Dragons! Bipolar Succubi! Semi-sane spider-ladies! Asshole wizards! Sexy sumo wrestlers! Lovecraftian horrors from beyond the Nine Hells! Terminus Est has it all!
Dungeons and Dragons?
Yes. We play using a heavily modified version of Dungeons and Dragons Revised Third Edition (AKA D&D 3.5). The modifications have been put into place by myself for a number of reasons, but primarily to make roleplay (traditional roleplaying) and rollplay (dice rolling, number crunching, and gamey things) more interesting, to make classes more customizable and balanced, and also to help make the game run smoother in this online format.
Ultimately, like any good DM, I view the rules as suggestions to be taken lightly.
I’m interested, but isn’t there a lot of story and rollplay to learn?
Yes and no. There’s a lot going on and that’s happened so far, but between myself and the other players you can quickly be brought up to speed on the plot so far. As far as rollplay goes, that is even easier! D&D is very easy to learn and for the most part all the apparent complexity is simply the result of very poorly worded rulebooks. Most of the rules in D&D are very intuitive and simplistic. We can have you up and running in no time.
Additionally while most of the campaigns take place on the material plane of Asul, there are several young in-progress campaigns or upcoming campaigns that take place in other planes and thus have little to no baggage and only basic details you need familiarize yourself with.
Sounds awesome, how do I join?
While there are often openings in one or more of the parties for new players, this is not always the case. If you are interested in playing please contact me on AIM (Kodos343), or Skype (RoboChrist9000) and/or in this thread and we can try and figure shit out. You’ll have to contact me on AIM or Skype at some point or another – and I usually am online – so your best bet is trying one of those first.
Awesome art!
Yes, yes it is. Many of the players are extremely talented artists and have been kind enough to share some of their talents with us by producing art for the campaigns. Praise them and their labors.
Just like good roleplaying I believe this is something that shows considerable dedication and takes time and effort, so I believe it is something that should be rewarded. I award players experience points and/or items in-game for producing artwork, with the caveat that the first picture of their own character(s) does not count. If you are able to draw it is pretty much expected – but not required – as good manners that you draw him/her/it.
Likewise if any of the players commission art, I consider it the same as if they had drawn it themselves, in terms of rewards – it still shows effort and dedication. Generally my ruling is more or less that 25$USD is equivalent to about half a level’s worth of experience. My feelings are that the time it takes a person to earn that much money is roughly equivalent to the time it takes the average artist player (I’m thinking Zizi or Reg) to churn out a picture of equivalent expees quality.

TERMINUS EST 2.0.0: MISTS OF IZUMO
GENERAL
Creatures are no longer dead at -10 HP. Creatures now die at -X HP where X is their Constitution score.

Several character classes now have access to ki pools and ki related powers.
A ki pool is simply the count of a character's ki points. Ki points, like spell slots or power points, are restored after 8 hours of rest and do not carry over after each day.
A character with a ki pool may meditate to attempt to regain lost ki points. By spending time in peaceful meditation and succeeding on a DC20 Concentration check, a character regains a number of ki points equal to the number of minutes spent meditating. No matter how much a character meditates, they may not refill more than half their ki pool in this manner.

CLASSES
Due to the major changes made to several classes, significant character sheet modifications may be permitted on a case-by-case basis.

Class changes may be downloaded here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6WIBH5XN). Unless otherwise noted, all these changes are in addition to the normal class features as detailed in the hypertext or sourcebooks, and simply add or modify existing abilities. A few classes, however, such as the Monk, Wu Jen, and Shugenja, have been rebuilt more or less from the ground up and ignore most outside sources.

Wu Jen have had their spell list completely altered. The new spell list will be posted shortly.

SKILLS
Concentration now uses Wisdom as its ability modifier, instead of Constitution.

FEATS
Stunning Fist has been split into two feats; Stunning Fist and Dirty Fighting.
Stunning Fist functions as the original Stunning Fist did, except it uses 1 ki point each use, rather than having a certain number of daily uses.
Dirty Fighting functions as per the original Stunning Fist, except it uses the user's Strength modifier for its DC, deals non-lethal damage, and is made at a -5 penalty to-hit. Dirty Fighting attacks have no daily use limit and do not require ki.

ITEMS
All shields and armor have had their AC values changed, as detailed below. All other values are unchanged.
Light Armor
Padded 1 AC
Leather 2 AC
Studded Leather 3 AC
Chain Shirt 4 AC
Medium Armor
Hide 4 AC
Scalemail 5 AC
Chainmail 6 AC
Breastplate 6 AC
Heavy Armor
Splintmail 7 AC
Bandedmail 8 AC
Half-Plate 9 AC
Fullplate 10 AC
Shields
Buckler 1 AC
Shield, Light Wooden 1 AC
Shield, Light Steel 2 AC
Shield, Heavy Wooden 3 AC
Shield, Heavy Steel 4 AC
Shield, Tower 5 AC

Wands, Staves, and other magical items containing charges can now be recharged by spellcasters with the appropriate spellcasting type (arcane or divine) and the appropriate item creation feats. Artificers with the appropriate item creation feats may recharge any charged magic item, whether it be arcane or divine.
To recharge a magic item, the spellcaster must expend one or more prepared spells or spell slots at the rate of 1 charge restored per spell of equivalent level. For example; a wand containing a fourth level spell has 1 charge restored for each fourth level spell a spellcaster sacrifices, 2 charges per 8th level spell, and so on and so forth. In the case of an Artificer, infusions of equivalent level are used in lieu of spell slots/prepared spells.

I would've loved to join the whole D&D universe, but quite frankly, I'm too damn young to even comprehend how to play correctly or how things work in the D&D universe. If you need an extra hand though, just hit me in the back of the head and drag me in.

Fail, sorry dude, but you got until sunday before Ryyna, Olivia and Shun start getting put on busses, I've been told to tell you. I realise that doesn't exactly sound mega fair, but I do think this routine character-trimming is what has kept the threads alive this far...

Totally understand if you're just bored of the character or uninspired about posting or whatever. Seriously, I always think the stuff with Fitha in perticular is greatstuff, but don't be afraid to back out of characters you feel like you're pressurized into propping upright, man... I need all the Drow players to let me know how many children their character has, and how many are adults. Also how may male or female mates they have. Also to talk to in general.

Basically your family back home might be generating some loot for you, and also ~problems~ maybe since one of your daughters may decide to try and kill you. Because Drow.

Plus you could always try marrying a son off to someone for influence. Or maybe sacrificing one to try and get Lolth to hate you less.

Sylux, get in touch already and let's fucking finish Meg's sheet so you can stop holding G back.

I know I harp on about how it's unfair to the other players, and it is, but it is also unfair to me. You know, the guy who spends enormous amounts of time and energy devoted to a thankless labor of love so that he and his friends can have fun and shit. Yeah. I'm in a bad mood and feeling underappreciated, so apologies in advance for the confrontational tone, but please, for the love of Eris, do the above stuff so that things can get moving again. Thanks.

EDIT: In fairness, F and possibly C won't be advancing too far until we get the new member(s) but C may or may not need new members. I don't now what's going on with Duck/Hei, so who knows.

So since you guys in Drowparty wanted to take over a city, and since I think some things were unclear, here is a thing.
So every Drow city-state is ruled by a Valsharess, obviously, but how much power and influence a given Valsharess actually has can vary. In every city there's always at least a little bit of tension between the Valsharess and the high priestess of Lolth - unless of course they are the same woman. Similarly, unless the Valsharess is, herself, the Ilharess of her house, she's likely got an Ilharess ocassionally throwing demands and orders her way, or who might one day just get too paranoid and order her killed.
Beyond that, the Valsharess, like any Drow woman, has to worry about her daughters or younger sisters or underlings trying to kill her and take her job. Most Valsharesses from larger houses are somewhat more secure because their sisters are likely running their own cities with their own problems, while the smaller house Valsharesses usually just make sure their sisters meet with unfortunate accidents.
Beyond the religious and familial issues, there are also the fact that very rarely is the Valsharess' house the only noble house in the city, and there will usually be branches of at least a few other powerful and wealthy families around. So she has to be careful about them, too. Plus there are often local power figures like wealthy businesswomen, powerful wizards, powerful mercenaries, possibly vampire matrons, and more. And if the city has a ghetto for free non-Drow, odds are the ghetto has its own power structure and issues, which while unlikely on their own to prove a threat to the Valsharess, could prove helpful to her - or her enemies.

Basically, like everything else in Drow society, it's a massive clusterfuck of paranoia, treachery, and half-naked Elves trying to fuck eachother in every sense of the word.

And, of course, all those sub-houses, families, ghettoes, and churches have their own issues.

The Drow are one giant fractal clusterfuck.

EDIT: Also, here's a thing someone else help that should be helpful to the party. Well, Neit mainly, since she's the one with daughters.
"An ambitious female with no hope of gaining status in her own mother’s house will sometimes strike out on her own and form a family.
Thus begins the creation of a new house. She will struggle and gather to herself husbands, warriors, mages and slaves. As her family grows, she will fight to maintain her good graces with Lolth. This includes sacrificing her third son to the Goddess and sending her female children into Lolth’s service. The growth and wealth of her house are a direct reflection of her own standing and power within the society."

Basically you need:
1. A family - that is to say daughters.
2. Minions - probably helps if you get some other families to throw in with you.
3. Lolth and her priestesses to not hate you so much that the actively try to hurt you.

Just because I'm not a part of any party (yet, still waiting on my damn internet), doesn't mean I can't learn in the mean time. And thanks for pointing that out Reg. Made it simpler to understand, and easier for me to get it wrapped around my head. And I couldn't get my head around the whole family/priestess thing which Reg helped me out with, Kodos. So, problem solved.

Kodos
03-16-2012, 03:44 PM
Yeah. Alsiif probably wouldn't even be allowed near the temples, unless they were going to sacrifice her. Being a daughterless mother is understood to be a form of punishment. Lolth is granting you only sons because of something bad you did. Or will do. Or because Lolth just feels like it, but in any case might makes right, Also if Lolth is punishing you, you obviously deserve it.

And, Reg, the priestesses wouldn't necessarily hate Neit for being a psion. House Ku'nal are ultra religious and have that Drow purity thing going on, but that's just them - not all priestesses necessarily view psions as abominations. Some take the Ulintajo approach and view it as a sign of Drow supremacy - even the powers of the hated Abominations are absorbed and used by the perfect daughters of Lolth.

Demonblooded priestesses are allowed, but half-Demon/Half-Drow. ones are not. Lolth gets pissy if you give her only half a Drow into her service. I mean, heck, given how often they're around Demons, a lot of half-Demons are the daughters/sons of priestesses. Or a priestess might offer a son of hers to a succubus in exchange for service. "Yeah you can have the little shit I don't care."

EDIT: Although usually a priestess will sacrifice all her sons to Lolth. I mean, why not? She benefits more from giving them to Lolth for good favor than from marrying them off.

Certainly explains the lack of Drow males about to keep their bloodline on the straight and narrow. :p

As for priestesses hating Neit, somehow I could imagine a powerful Drow wanting to bump her off just to be safe anyway. Her powers being perticularly of the mind control verity, she certainly has the potential to seriously mess with one's servants should she become to powerful. Helping her become more powerful as such probally wouldn't be in their interests, anyhow.

Well, remember, Reg - Lolth's favorite sacrificial offering is her own priestesses. Well, second favorite. Favorite is priests of Corellon Larethian. So the priestesses are always wary of each other.

Really it depends on the local internal culture of the city's priesthood. In the Lowerdark many priestesses are psionic since so many more Drow are psionic down there, what with the greater Illithid presence. Of course there's always the risk that carries, too. After an Illithid attack it's standard operating procedure to kill any psion survivors - just in case. The Drow always do that. Often they kill all survivors, though, just to be sure.

Cleansing after an Illithid attack is about the only thing Drow will work together on.

And you should join Tiberius. We still need new membahs.

As a note to the Drowparty: Aryyna didn't mention it, but your girls would know it - you're not to actually kill Despoina. As the de facto queen of the ghetto, Despoina keeps it running relatively smoothly (Read: not open warfare in the streets) and ensures that Aryyna gets a good tribute and shit. If Despoina were to die or otherwise be removed from power by you three, then there would be a power struggle and it would cost Aryyna money. And if it got really out of hand, it would cost her even more money since she'd have to send her goons in to remind everyone that they are living there by her tolerance.

So you can rough Despoina up if it comes to it and negotiations with her break down, but you guys can't kill her, or anything of that sort.

So here's more Drowstuff you Drowplayers would know.

The Eyes of Lolth are basically the Drow inquisition. Or the KGB. They are the secret police of the church. According to popular belief and the claims of the priestesses, they are ever and omnipresent. Most people will never knowingly meet an Eye of Lolth unless they are being recruited by them. The invitation to join is not something anyone turns down, since to do so means death, plus it's a great honor. While many of the Eyes are priestesses, not all are. Besides spying on the Drow commoners to ensure they are faithful to the Queen of the Demonweb Pits, the Eyes of Lolth are known to spy on the nobility, to make sure they are faithful and not planning to usurp the church, and also on the filthy unwashed masses of the non-Drow. Some claim they even are active on the surface, spying and preparing for the inevitable return.
The Dread Fangs of Lolth are an elite, religious, warrior organization that often work alongside (read: under) the Eyes of Lolth. Essentially Drow Paladins, in some ways. They are generally commanded by the Eyes of Lolth, although less commonly, but sometimes, by priestesses. The Dread Fangs are actually mostly male, and heavily indoctrinated and brainwashed. The noble houses tend to resent them - although never to their faces of course - since they dislike the idea of the priestesses having well trained, highly disciplined, ultra-loyal soldiers.
The Eyes and Fangs are loyal to the church as a whole, and tend to avoid getting involved in factional rivalries or other squabbles within the church. Lolth tends to get pissy (pissier) when the Fangs are used to settle disputes between priestesses.
The Eyes of Lolth are also often tasked with monitoring for signs of Illithid (and, if a city near water, Aboleth) infiltration. Since not only are Illithids obviously seen as abominations and blasphemies before Lolth, but also even the Drow recognize that they are threats to every Drow, and even the Drow fear them. Fighting Illithids is one of the few things Drow will do without backstabbing eachother or their non-Drow allies.

Speaking of Illithids, the Drow do have Illithid Slayers - usually in small roving sisterhoods - although the tradition is not as widespread or institutionalized as it is among the Duergar who basically have at least one cabal of Illithid Slayers per city.

EDIT: Oh, and speaking of Karin, depending how long you guys are away on the mission, we might get the added fun of her going into withdrawal, since she's definitely addicted to Hevisa by now. And I know I've said before that Succubi/Incubi are literally addicting in the way a drug is, and that withdrawal for want of their touch is at least as awful as crack withdrawal.

Maybe Hevisa will make a house call every now and then, though, to keep Karin from getting all withdrawal-y.

I need dat input. Also I don't recall if I mentioned it, but given that Alsiif is a daughterless mother, she would not only not be allowed to talk to Lolth and get tested, but she also won't even be allowed inside most temples of Lolth. Since the understanding of the Drow is such that her failure to have a daughter is a clear sign that Lolth is punishing her for something.

EDIT: And here, some more Drow info. Two assassin's guilds.

The Cresstyne Sisterhood is a Drow assassins' guild operating primarily within Garethkullgen. The word 'Cresstyne' is Drow for 'Webspinner' and refers to one of Lolth's two primary aspects, the other one being Silinrul, the Huntress. As the other half of their name implies they are, like many if not most Drow institutions, all female. The Cresstyne assassins are quite devout in their worship of the goddess, and enjoy closs ties with the church, although their services are open to all who can afford them.

The Istotsoss Sisterhood is a Drow organization of courtesans and assassins. The members of this all-female organization are known as extremely skilled and imaginative lovers, and also as skilled poisoners. Many of the Istotsoss are said to be able to kill with a kiss (among other things), and some are even said to have a venomous touch. They operate primarily out of Edonilche'el and supposedly date back to the days of the old empire.

Well right now I'm looking at one of two places for D's romps. The first is Harkinia, and it's basically NotZelda, and the second is the Highlands, and it's basically fantasy Scotland with bits of other stuff. The latter is much larger, so it may make more sense to do the former, but it's your call. :3

THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN HARKINIA
High Elves, Half-Elves, and Humans to fuck with!
Cause complete ecological disaster, zombie holocausts, and more, by desecrating temples and killing fey shit!
Zombie Moby Dick.
Lots of dungeons to dick around in. Including less conventional dungeons like "the castle of those nice people who have shit you want"
Princesses to kidnap! Therion loves those!
At least a few places Karin can learn new spells. Possibly a few ability bestowing places too.
Lot sof nice pieces of loot you can dick around with before Therion demands it.
And more!

THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN THE HIGHLANDS
Druidic and Barbarian peoples along the lines of the Celts and Picts.
More civilized Humans, too.
Mountain Dwarves and also the Chaotic, Scottish, axe wielding Hill Dwarves!
Halflings too, so for once Eros can feel tall.
Dwarf Fortress style undercities!
Standing Stones and Cairns which can bestow new abilities and shit, or possibly teach Karin rare and exciting spells.
A few really nice pieces of loot you can dick around with before Therion demands it.
And more!

Realistically speaking, the former makes more sense since it's smaller, but if you guys wanna dick around in NotScotland, that's fine too. I'll see what else I can come up with for possible D venues. LET ME KNOW. VOTE.

Cake, u da bomb.

Anyway, time for some Drow history, scrubs. This time on the Huthindrow.

The Huthindrow were a ethnic/political/religious group of Drow that came to prominence close to about a century ago. The Huthindrow - who's name can be best translated as 'Next Drow' - believed that Lolth intended them to destroy and replace the baseline Drow just as she intended the Drow to replace the hated surface Elves. They were all demonblooded - and then some. Many Huthindrow were Demonbinders; casters who could somehow absorb and assimilate the essence of Demons into their own being, gaining their likenesses and powers - a technique developed by and lost with the Huthindrow themselves. Although disorganized and often suffering from the instability and insanity that is endemic to Demons and their worshipers, the Huthindrow were numerous, enjoyed the support of demonblooded priestesses, and most of all - were powerful.

84 years ago the Huthindrow rose up against the mainstream Drow. Fighting was widespread across the lands of the Drow, but was by far most intense within Edonilche'el where the Huthindrow not only focused most of their efforts, but also succeeded in opening numerous planar gates to the Abyss, allowing Demons to pour through and wreak havoc. Perhaps motivated by the chaos and confusion, or egged on by wily fiends, many slaves took the opportunity to rise up against the Drow as well, during the uprising.

Although the mainstream Drow won, the costs were great. Much of Edonilche'el was ravaged by the short but intense fighting, slaves had to be slaughtered en masse and made examples of, and many pogroms and witch hunts against demonblooded Drow ensued. In political ramifications, Great House Maelthra attacked House Drejan (one of the most powerful up-and-comers during the time) during the uprising and managed to not only drive them completely from Edonilche'el but also to seize up much of Edonilche'el for themselves. Today Great House Maelthra controls the largest portion of Edonilche'el and wields the most influence within the megacity.

Besides Great House Maelthra, Great Houses Faernsenger and Chaon also greatly benefited from the chaos of the uprising. The former's Wizards were in high demand to close the abyssal gates and the latter due to the economic opportunities opened up by the reconstruction of Edonilche'el. Both the Faernsenger and Chaon also benefited from close ties with the Maelthra and having supposedly played some role in helping the Maelthra drive out the Drejan.

Great House Ku'nal, much like the Drejan, suffered greatly during the uprising. Not only had many Ku'nal warriors died defending Edonilche'el and other holdings, but much of the house's standing with he priestesses was lost due to their failure to protect the church and also due to their failure to follow the Maelthra's example and find opportunity amidst the chaos.

As for the Huthindrow, they are presumed to have all been hunted down and slain, although rumors always persist about small cabals of Huthindrow lurking in isolated caverns, the sewers of Edonilche'el, Abyssal shrines, or within Deisenin ruins. Some rumors claim that Ilharess T'puuli Rendanvlos' father was not an incubus, as generally believed, but rather that her mother was a Huthindrow Demonbinder.

It's worth noting that since it was only 84 years ago, most of the older Drow lived through it, and probably fought in it. Aryyna did, as did most of the current ilharesses of the major houses. Draeva's only 54 so she wasn't born yet. The Huthindrow Uprising also stands as the last time the Drow faced an existential threat, the last time they 'united' (see: Maelthra/Drejan) and the only time an enemy attacked Edonilche'el successfully, although granted that enemy was arguably the Drow, so it may or may not count. Plus there are always incidents involving Illithid cults in Edonilche'el that may or may not be valid cases or simple Drow paranoia or scapegoating.

This could have been written better, but I'm still recovering from surgery so deal with it. Next time I'll probably cover the war against Great House Deisenin, or maybe go into some details about the houses themselves. Depends if I can do the former without giving away spoilers about Illithids. Although I can always just have you guys roll knowledge checks, since there's a good chance the playerdrow, at least Neit, would know the relevant facts about Illithids.

Since Zizi and Duck have both apparently fallen off the planet, Party C finds itself in need of a stealthy class, ideally a Ninja (http://imgur.com/a/zKBjU#0).
The Ninja is what it sounds like. Stealthy death. Ninja are stealthy, acrobatic, deadly, can do martial arts, and get a variety of kind-of-like-magic ki powers. Also kunoichi (http://i.imgur.com/5NETy.jpg) get jiggle physics based distraction powers. Believe it!

In honor of Reg's lovely Abigail, have some Umbralume infodump!

The people of Umbralume generally divide the day into Moonday and Night. Moonday is the closest thing Umbralume has to 'day' and refers to those hours when the moon is overhead and there is moonlight. Night is when the moon is not overhead and everything is literally pitch. Depending on where people are, they may structure their lives treating one as day and the other as night, based on local concerns. For example; Werewolves are more active when the moon is out, but on the converse when the moon is out is when things are warmer and it's somewhat easier to see. On the flipside, in most areas of Umbralume, Shadows emerge at night and prey upon lone Humans - although they almost always avoid Humans in groups and Humans indoors or in towns.

I never mentioned it, but given the Cuthbertine influence on the plane, and the general atmosphere of fear and paranoia, mainstream Human culture demands Tieflings be killed at birth. Sorcerers are generally burnt as witches (as are genuine Witches) and are less tolerated than proper Wizards who can sometimes get away with exile or, in ultra-liberal communities, extreme ostracization and shunning.

AND SOME (Asul) DROW INFODUMP.

Edonilche'el, located in a titular vault within the Middledark, is one of, if not the, oldest Drow (or non-Drow) settlements in the Underdark. The ancient capital of the Drow empire of old, it is a massive mega-city which occupies the entirety of the vault in which it is built, and then some.
Edonilche'el has no Valsharess proper, and is instead basically run as a series of city-states, with various chunks of the city under the control of various Drow factions. House Barra'che, Great House Chaon, Great House Chathlinath, House Draasol, Great House Faernsenger, the Istotsoss Sisterhood, Great House Maelthra, Great House Quarthas, House Rendanvlos, Great House Ssivahyorn, and Great House Veldruk (among other factions and puppet organizations) all have chunks of Edonilche'el under their control. Additionally, certain parts of the city are directly ruled as theocracies by local priestesses. Such church holdings include Great House Ku'nal's former territory within the megacity, which were either donated to the church in an attempt to gain favor, or seized directly by local priestesses in the aftermath of the Huthindrow Uprising.
Ever since the Huthindrow Uprising, the largest single holding within the city is that of Great House Maelthra, with Ilharess Z'hrenil Maelthra and most of her family personally residing within what used to be the imperial palace of the old Empire.

Edonilche'el is home to over a million inhabitants (Drow, Outsiders, and slaves) and officially has no aliens' ghettoes, although it is known that the city's extensive sewer network is home to colonies of Ghouls, as well as the typical waste disposing Otyughs. Rumors of other, more sinister, creatures lurking in the undercity abound.

In addition to local light sources like magic lanterns and localized glowstone or glowing fungus patches, the nigh-literal shining star of the city's light sources is a massive naturally formed but Drow smoothed and carved pillar (running the entire massive height of the vault) which is entirely covered in bioluminescant fungi and was created during the height of the Empire. Besides this, there are numerous stalactites and stalagmites similarly adorned, but which provide far less light, and far less spectacle.

Great House Faernsenger's holdings are located in a smaller sub-vault off to the side of the central vault, and centered around the school of Laelda'uren (Ilharess Aryyna Faernsenger serves as headmistress, and also has converted a few of the upper floors into one of her homes), which serves as both a school for the elite children of both sexes, teaching them the various skills they might need to succeed in Drow society, and also as the single largest and most famous arcane college amongst the Drow, and probably the whole of the Underdark.

Architecturally, the city is a mess, with literally thousands of years of building and rebuilding, and differing tastes and sensibilities having been applied due to regional or temporal fashions. Additionally, some parts of the city, such as the Quarthas' capital (located in a smaller sub-vault) were originally non-Drow (in this case, Duergar) settlements which were conquered and inhabited by the Drow after the original inhabitants had all been slaughtered and/or enslaved.
Edonilche'el today is basically built on top of Edonilche'el.

Although it may or may not be the oldest non-Illithid or Aboleth city in the Underdark (the Drow, of course, insist it is) it is certainly the largest known city to exist down there, although rumors whisper of larger Illithid cities in parts of the Lowerdark, and some Kuo-Toa claim that there is a massive Aboleth city at the bottom of the Sunless Sea of equal or greater size.

Next I'll probably either ramble about the Drow houses a bit, or some Drow NPCs, or about Lilt'puuliche'el, the second biggest Drow city in the Underdark.

Anyway, since F is moving, again, some information that I know I told some of the players, but not all.

The Church is essentially three branches, the Priesthood, the Crusaders, and the Inqusition.
The Priesthood is what it sounds like, and made up of priests, bishops, and so on. The head of the priesthood is the Vicar of St. Cuthbert and the head of the entire church.
The Crusaders are the military arm of the church and professional soldiers and whatnot. Headed by the Crusader General.
The Inquisition is what it sounds like. The secret police of the church who control the populace through fear and torture, and purge heresy and apostasy with fire and sword. Witch Hunters are the common name for younger, lower ranked, Inquisitors who are tasked with monitoring and policing the laity and with handling matters of lay heresy, witches (Witches, Sorcerers, and unsanctioned Psions and Wizards) and with killing abominations (Tieflings, Sorcerers, and other such things). Heresy and apostasy within the church is handled by the older and more experienced and high ranking Inquisitors. Laure is technically a Witch Hunter, hence why she's leading F against a cult made up of lay people and not the church.
The common metaphor is that the Priesthood is the head or heart of the church and guides it, the Crusaders are the sword and bring the truth and justice of the Saint upon heathens and His enemies, and the Inquisition is the shield of the church, safeguarding it from heresy and the subtle taint of the Enemy.
The divide between the priesthood and the other two branches of the church is blurry. Priests like Vivien often get attached to help out the Crusaders, and the Inquisition generally recruits from it. So people in service to the church don't really see themselves as belonging to any one group - besides the Inquisition, who are in it for life and fairly insular for obvious reasons.

Regarding Laure, the idea is that she's conservative even by Cuthbertine standards. Thinks all arcane magic and alchemy are blasphemous and ought be banned. It's a popular strain of thought among some of the Inquisition and the church in general. Arcane magic was always seen as a bit blasphemous, if necessary, and alchemy/transmutation in particular as bad - the vanity to feel that mortals can and should remodel reality. The world is as the gods have made it and so it should be. Plus from a more cynical standpoint, the church likes having a Clerical monopoly on magic, and the obvious fear that scholarly Wizards might figure out the truth that reality is malleable, the gods dependent on mortals, and all that nasty truth stuff.
Good Cuthbertines know better than to let truth get in the way of the truth. Our eyes may deceive us, but our god never will.

Anyway. Time for Drowrambles. This time the church.

The church is ostensibly one entity, but in reality it's pretty much as fractured, and prone to infighting and factionalization as everything else in Drow society. The biggest differences between the church and other Drow institutions are the omnipresence of it, the influence it has over all aspects of Drow life, and its willingness to cooperate internally when its power or authority or threatened. The priestesses are happy and content to murder and fight each-other, but generally will come to each-others' aid and defense when they are feeling threatened by secular Drow authority. After all, remember, Lolth's favorite sacrifice is a tie between Elven priests of Corellon Larethian, and her own priestesses.

The priesthood, of course, is entirely female. The closest males ever get to being priests is becoming a Dread Fang of Lolth. The yathtallar is the highest ranking priestess in a given city (or region in the case of mega-cities like Edonilche'el). She quite often will commune on a weekly basis with the Goddess, and is the personal executor of Her will and power, presiding over all major ceremonies and rituals, and instituting Her punishments such as being the lead caster during the creation of Drider. Below her are handful of obok'yathrinen, or high priestesses, who preside over less important daily rituals and sacrifices, and boss around the more numerous rank and file yathrinen (priestesses). Passing at least one Test of Lolth is a requirement to become an obok'yathrinen, and failure to satisfy Lolth in this way is the most common source of Drider.
In most city-states, where the valsharess is a secular ruler and not the yathtallar herself, there is usually at least some tension between the two women. This tension generally resolves quickly, as one will quickly kill the other and have her replaced by someone more responsive to her demands, or, in the case of the yathtallar killing the valsharess, simply assume the role of valsharess herself.

Also, here are two common Drow prayers!
"Lolth zud'dar uns'aa" is a common Drow prayer, translating to "Lolth test me." It is considered unwise in the extreme to ask Lolth for aid, as to do so is to admit weakness and thus to invoke Her wrath. Thus the Drow, instead, ask Her for the opportunity to demonstrate one's prowess and skill, and in doing so to hopefully gain Her favor. This sort of prayer is typically said upon waking each day, and before major tasks or events.
"Lolth tlu laoles; jal ultrinnan zhah Ilta xunin!" is an exultation to the Goddess typically uttered after - or sometimes before - some manner of victory or accomplishment. It more or less literally translates to "Lolth be praised; all victory is Her doing!"

And, while not prayers, here are three little Drow aphorisms that I think capture the spirit of their culture and society nicely.
"Xun izil dos phuul quarthen, lueth dro," or "do as you are told, and live."
"Jal khaless zhah waela," or "all trust is foolish."
"Nindyn vel'uss kyorl ninta ratha thalra elghinn dal l'alust," or "those who watch their backs meet death from the front."

EDIT: I forgot to mention. Only the most beautiful women are allowed to be priestesses, even in the first place. Lolth simply refuses to grant Cleric powers to those she finds insufficiently beautiful. Also, obviously, like IRL medieval issues involving the investiture of bishops and popes, most Drow houses try and get daughters in the church as it is both a status symbol and also helps to have an inside-girl who can hopefully influence her peers and make the local priesthood more receptive and compliant.

Also while I still refuse to say just how far in the past the Drowthread is, I will say that it is possible that, assuming they haven't died from unnatural causes, that the Drow characters are still alive. Of course the average Drow natural lifespan is ~700 years. Longer counting magic, of course. Aryyna is well over 1000 years old. So Reg wants a new player for Drowthread. I suppose we could do with one, maybe two, more.

Drowthread? Drowthread! The Drowthread is a party of (currently) three Drow lasses on a meandering quest for glory, fame, and power.
The Drow (http://imgur.com/a/HLmrV#0) are an evil racial offshoot of Elves with dark blue, gray, or black skin, white hair (although they often dye it), and unnatural beauty and grace even by Elven standards. Otherwise they're physically identical to Elves save for being a bit more fertile and having a higher birth rate.
Drow are decadent, promiscuous, matriarchal, misandrist, superficial, cruel, sadistic and generally just evil and not very nice. Male Drow are at best second-class citizens, and at worse chattel slaves, with noble-born male Wizards being the sole exception. Non-Drow are sometimes permitted to live in ghettoes on the fringes of Drow cities, but are most typically are found in Drow cities only as slaves - with slavery being the base upon which Drow civilization is built.
The Drow are an extremely paranoid people and assassination is the primary method of upwards social mobility. Most highborn Drow are so busy guarding from assassins that they rarely get to kill anyone, though. In essence, Drow society is held together by paranoia, hedonism, and fear of Goddess.
The Drow worship the cruel goddess Lolth (http://i.imgur.com/TafoF.jpg), Queen of the Demonweb Pits. Lolth is cruel, sadistic, demanding, and unreasonable. Every Drow mother must sacrifice her third-born son to the Goddess, and beyond that her priestesses serve to provide Lolth the constant praise and offerings she demands. Lolth bears little love for the Drow, and their relationship is essentially such that she merely hates them less than she hates everyone else.
Drow society is esentially a constant struggle between the church and the various noble houses (who fight amongst themselves as well). It's an insane culture caught between an insane theocracy devoted to a demanding goddess, and a fickle and avaricious aristocracy.
Drow live in the Underdark (http://imgur.com/a/tQcEh#0), a vast subterranean environment beneath the surface of the world. The Underdark is a series of caves and caverns, tunnels and vaults, which are poorly explored by surface folk, intermittently settled by natives, and home to all manner of strange and exotic creatures. The majority of Drow settlements are in the Middledark, the region of the Underdark 3-10 miles beneath the surface. The lower one goes in the Underdark, the more dangerous and alien things to get, with the Lowerdark (11+ miles below surface level) being home primarily to Illithids (http://imgur.com/a/uRcfG#0), Aboleths (http://imgur.com/a/gze8z#0), Beholders (http://imgur.com/a/EyRoa#0), and various other aberrant horrors (http://imgur.com/a/NbYPC#0).
The party at the moment is a trio of Drow cousins from a minor noble house, Alsiif (http://i.imgur.com/hBKSH.jpg) the Demonic Sorceress, Ryyna Fama (http://i.imgur.com/ycbk4.jpg) the Aristocrat, and Neitar Inthuul (http://i.imgur.com/r71sW.jpg) the Telepath. They've cut ties with their former house and set out on their own as adventurers, hoping to build up the fame, fortune, connections, and holdings needed to start their own house, or, perhaps failing that, at least marry into one of the Great Houses.
For Goddess and Glory!

Race choices are obviously limited to female Drow, but some templates like Half-Demon may be allowed - Drow are well known for their insatiable and often exotic sexual appetites.
Class choices are more varied than even the other parties. Drow have preserved much of their pre-Cataclysm knowledge and thus have access to Artificers. They also have appropriated and stolen much from other Underdark and even surface cultures, and have access to Ninja. Plus all the base classes, and then some. Dovahkiin esque classes even. Fus.

We need a good player who won't vanish. The party is open-ended and largely freeform so we need someone who can and will post often, as well.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Contact me and/or post here.

No offense to Cake and Phail of course!

I just think we really need at least one character with a little ambition in here. Even Neit was supposed to be a fussy drunken layabout. x_x

Note that I'd be perfectly alright with somebody playing one of her sons or daughters, also.

I wrote a short story about Ramirez for the lulz. He's in his mid-late teens here, and still living on his parents' estate. Some people are just born evil. It has some rapey connotations and mild violence, so it might not be work safe?

She was beautiful, delicate, and innocent. How could Ramirez resist the urge to hurt her?

The milkmaid heaved open the stable doors. Cows cooed in recognition as she visited each stall in turn, caressing and checking young calves, milking their mothers into a large pail. Every time she knelt down to milk, her long skirt hitched up, exposing her firm, smooth calves, as white as the contents of her pail. As she went around, she sung gently to the bovines, an old folk ballad. It was coarse and low, but from her ripe pink lips it sounded like an aria.

She came closer. He could hear her heavy breathing, feel the warmth emanating from her, see her bosom heaving up and down. He licked his lips in anticipation and waited for her to pass. Then he rose, barely making a sound, walked behind her, and tapped her on the shoulder.

She shrieked, jumped, and dropped the pail. Although her scream made his ears ring, it was gorgeous, a sudden discordant note in the genteel pastoral of the country morning. She spun to face him, the skin painted even whiter with shock. When she recognised him, the white curdled and became a sickly green. She exhaled all at once, then struggled for breath. Ramirez watched her politely and waited, smirking at her hyperventilating.

When she seemed almost recovered, he looked into her pearlescent eyes and extended a hand.

“I'm dreadfully sorry if I surprised you.” She scowled back at him.

“Come now, don't be like that. It's a waste of your pretty face.”

She flapped one hand at him, waving him away.

“I have a job to do, Master Aquila.”

He knew the stories the serfs told about him. Some of them were true, most were wild exaggerations, none were flattering. He put an arm around her. As she struggled to pull away, he pressed a small purse into her skirts.

“For services rendered...” he leered.

Being slapped by a milkmaid is more painful than you might expect. It takes a surprising amount of strength to milk a cow well, and rather more to wrestle a stubborn bovine into a milking stool against its will. Ramirez felt like he'd had an iron stake driven through his skull. He wobbled, swayed, and almost collapsed. Through bleary eyes he could see the milkmaid bustling away, her skirts the only thing stopping her running at full pace. How dare she? How dare she strike her better and expect to get off scott-free! He staggered after her and hurled himself at her, knocking her face-first into the cow shit. His fists pummelled her. At first she tried to defend herself, tried to scrabble away, then she just groaned.

“Listen, you ignorant scum-fucking whore. You'll give me what I want, or not only will I make you look like the piece of meat you are, I'll tell my father you stole my purse and that I beat you to retrieve it.”

She moaned and wept, her tears mixing with the mud, shit, and blood. Ramirez rubbed her nose in the filth.

“Go ahead, cry. But you'll never refuse me again, will you?” She gibbered incoherently until he slapped sense into her dense little skull.

“Will you?” In a voice weak with crying, she croaked a negative.

“Speak up!”

“N-no. Whatever you want...”

“Address me properly!”

“Master.”

“Good.” He pulled the purse out of her skirts, stood up, and kicked her in the stomach a couple of times. Then he flung a few gold coins at her.

“You're not just a whore, you're a stupid whore. You should've taken my money to start with. Now look at you.” She lay there, crying softly. He blinked back his anger and sighed.

“If anyone asks, tell them a cow did it. I'll be back on Thursday.” He left her crying there, eating mud and blood and cow shit.

In the evening, Ramirez visited an opera house. It was playing a typical piece, about a libertine whose hedonistic ways and proud nature led to his destruction by the Saint. “It's remarkable,” he commented to a friend, “how depraved these characters are. Can you imagine if such people really existed?”

Normally I do try to give characters a psychological justification for their actions, but Ramirez is a psychopath and so pretty much beyond any sort of redemption except death. He's one of my favourite DnD characters (to play) just because he doesn't really care about anything or anyone besides himself. Even joining the Horned Society was a selfish move.

I am still beplagued. And my right ear is bugging me too now, so I think the doctors were wrong when they said it wasn't bacterial.
Seeing another doctor today.

Anyway, advice to Drowparty. Gathering Information about things can be dangerous. Remember you are living in an ultra paranoid and suspicious society. Asking about the internal affairs of priestesses is asking to be placed under suspicion. And suspicious priestesses are likely to have you killed. Better to ingratiate yourself to some priestess and work from there. Or maybe more quickly, ask Aryyna

Sill beplagued. But feeling a fair deal better. Still pretty awful, though.

Have a shitty (still sick!) Drowramble. This time about Drow attitudes and views towards motherhood.

Becoming a mother is something that is expected of all Drow. Given their long life spans and the fact Drow aren't even considered middle aged until 175, most Drow women don't allow themselves to become pregnant until later in life. Although given personal tastes, desires to start a family, pressure from their mothers, and forgetting to protect themselves due to inebriation, many Drow become mothers at younger ages. Particularly among the poorer Drow who have economic and societal pressures which encourage younger mothers.

Most Drow mothers do generally love and dote on their children while they are still babies - at least the daughters. Motherhood is a powerful thing, after all. It's generally as the daughter grows older that the mother sees her less as a wonderful gift from the goddess and as a potential rival. Among the C’rintri, filicide (once the child is an adult) is not uncommon, and matricide is one of the primary means of social advancement.
Among the poorer Drow, male children may be killed at birth or, much more likely, sold into slavery or given to the local church to be used in sacrifices, hoping that Lolth's favor will next time grant them a daughter.

Failure to have a child after a certain point, or after trying and failing, is seen as a mark against one's womanhood, much in the way most patriarchal societies consider inability to become a father a sign of not being a true man. Mothers who have only sons are seen as being punished by Lolth for some manner of transgression, and are forbidden from entering the holier parts of temples, or approaching shrines to the Goddess.

And as a final note regarding it all, every third born son is a required sacrifice to Lolth, unless, one of the prior sons died before reaching adulthood. But if the mother has had two male children that reached adulthood, then she must sacrifice the third as soon as he is born.
Additional sacrifices of sons, or even daughters, are of course not uncommon among the more pious Drow.

So, Drowramble.

It is important to remember that the Drow are, in their own eyes, not merely cultured, refined, and civilized, but he epitome and apex of these ideals. All other civilizations and cultures are nothing more than crude and laughable imitations of what the Drow have perfected. To that end, the Drow, for all their barbarism, do not like to do things that they would see as thuggish. It's one thing to have your goons jump a shebali woman or a man in the streets, but open and unrefined violence like that is frowned upon among the c'rintri. Murder is an art like any other to the Drow, and one does not make art by dumping a bucket of paint on the canvas.
Assassination, duels, open warfare - this is how civilized Drow women kill eachother. Not having their trolls grab someone off the street and smash her into the floor until she stops moving.
And given the pettiness, cruelty, and sadism of most Drow, simply killing a rival, especially a hated one, is so impersonal and wasteful. Far better to lay her low, strip her of her possessions and influence, and then when she is at her lowest point strike.
Jiv'elgg lueth jiv'undus phuul jivvin!

As a note on classes - the Drow do have Alchemists but they mostly make potions, poisons, and stealth aiding chemicals - even the Drow aren't quite so insane as to use explosives in enclosed caverns.
Usually.
I mean, it's not like it matters if a few thousand slaves and a few hundred of your own freewomen die as long as you win. For Goddess and Glory!

Irveska has a scar and wears a scary mask. Plus she's a Yoko expy. While Neit and Ismat have no physical imperfections and are just cute and sexy.

So as everyone knows I have a raging nerd boner for Dwarves. What is not to like about a race where the men are all alcohol powered beards and the women are all (alcohol powered) curvy stocky busty babes?

I might do live sessions of dungeon crawlin' adventurin' Dwarves. I'd like to do it every week or every other week. It would be more heavy on the rollplay than the roleplay, although I'd still like to get some plot and characterization in there. Something like D I imagine. I don't have a microphone, some of us have accents, and I'd like to have logs/records available, so I figure we'd use maptool and some chat program. Dunno exactly. If this is going to happen I'll do more research.

I want 4-7 players only. If I have 3 or more interested, I'll start doing more research and actively recruiting. So far Fail and Cake are interested, as a Unarmed Fighter specializing in grappling and a Rogue, respectively.

Here are the more gamey details.
Starting level: 6-11, most likely 7.
Allowed Races: Dwarf (http://i.imgur.com/aRp7U.jpg)

Dwarf Culture!
Kodos 11:46 am
According to legend the first two Dwarves in Asul created by Moradin were Armok and Inenrithol Moradintilat.

Kodos 11:47 am
Inenrithol's sons and descendants became the Inengar, the Hill Dwarves of the Highlands. They're a different culture largely so we don't talk about them now. The seven sons of Armok gave rise to the seven houses/clans of the Onolgar, the Mountain Dwarves. When most people talk about Dwarves they mean the Onolgar.
Each of the seven houses have their own high king, and all of Dwarfdom was traditionally ruled by a single Grand King who the others were subserviant to.

Kodos 11:49 am
The Dwarves are legalistic and traditional people. Lawful with few exceptions. They have the Lore, which is a mix of tradition, history, lore, and law. Thing the Haditha in Islam. And Sharia. People look to the Lore for guidance and life tips and how to live their lives. Disputes are settled by non-lethal duels/brawls or more commonly for important things, by consulting a Toralzuden - a Loremaster.
Dwarves are somewhat patriarchal but not as much as in other fantasy settings. Women can and do reach positions of authority and generally society treats them no differently. The only real gender defined roles are that only women become Bards and only men become Loremasters.

Kodos 11:51 am
Dorf bards know all the songs and histories of the Lore, and of course a wide and dizzying array of bawdy drinking songs.
Each Dwarven Fortress is ruled by a king/queen who answers to no one except the king/queen of their house/clan and who themselves answers only to the Grand King.
The Wars of the Dragon, Therion's rise to power in modern day Therion, fucked over the Dwarves.
More fortresses were there than in any place besides Vetrheim. So lots of mountainhomes were destroyed and adamantine and cold iron mines lost.

Sean Wager 11:53 am
Didn't he fuck up the high king too?

Kodos 11:55 am
The Gusildurad lost all of their royalty and nearly all their mountanhomes. A lot of the other houses/clans also got fucked over severely. The Grand King and his whole family were eaten, and the Zuntirsamam house/clan surrendered to Therion and are now hated by all of Dwarfdom. The only living descendant of the Gusildurad royalty also works for Therion, High Queen Allas Raduk Gusildurad. Therion likes her more than the Zuntirsamam guy since she has giant tits, wears dresses much too small for her, and is fun and funny and not boring.
So Dwarfdom is scattered and lost. There was nothing in Lore for what to do about this.

Kodos 12:00 pm
The seven houses are the Emenontak, the Gusildurad, the Nisgaknil, the Raldurad, the Romekdurad, the Voladurad, and the Zuntirsamam. The Zuntirsamam went traitor, the Gusildurad have few mountainhomes and no surviving royalty since the High Queen is in Therion, and Raldurad were evne more thoroughly wiped out.
The Nisgaknil live mostly in Vetrheim, the Voladurad are mostly in the north and Sigmar and are assholes and friends with the Cuthbertines, and so on.

Sean Wager 12:01 pm
Aren't most dorfs assholes?

Kodos 12:01 pm
no
And most Loremasters and Bards are of the opinion that if you are miserable than you are interpreting the Lore wrong because Moradin wants you to be happy. Productive, but happy.

Kodos 12:02 pm
And te Dwarves have little classism.
The King/Queen is expected to be a father/mother to the people and to work, fight, and generally do all the same things.

Sean Wager 12:02 pm
They don't kill all nobles?

Kodos 12:03 pm
No. Other than being in a position of power the nobility is not any different from the commmon folk.
Only the Nisgaknil get Strange Moods, and really only those in Vetrheim in particular. But all Dwarves are master crafters.

Sean Wager 12:04 pm
What is their attitude towards outsiders
And Elves

Kodos 12:04 pm
Not counting the Voladurad who are dicks
Most don't mind outsiders although Dwarves live a long time and are very slow to form close friendships. They don't hate the Elves but do see them as efette and kind of crazy.
What kind of faggots live in a forest, work with wood, and are physically incapable of growing beards?
Dwarves don't have a homosexuality taboo - although family is supe rimportant. So if you are the last of your family you are expected to suck it up and have kids.
And intermarrying with Humans is seen as okay, again assuming you have someone else to carry on the family name
But as a matter of practice it happens rarely since while Dwarves don't mind fucking humans, again slow to form that sort of bond.

Kodos 12:06 pm
So most humans don't live long enough.

Sean Wager 12:06 pm
Can they crossbreed with elves?

Kodos 12:06 pm
Maybe? No half-dwarves though. Same with humans.
The idea is that they probably can reproduce with humans.
But the kid would be the race of the mother.

Sean Wager 12:07 pm
I figured it'd be like a shortish human/tallish dorf

Kodos 12:07 pm
And maybe a bit squat/busty/tall/stocky depending on the mixture, but not enough to be considered racially distinct.

Yeah.
if the mom was a dwarf the kid would be a somewhat taller and 'thin' dorf.
If the mom was human the kid would be a bit stocky and short.
The hammer is the weapon and symbol of the onolgar, the axe of the inengar.

Kodos 12:08 pm
Paladins of Moradin are known as Hammers.
And while Moradin has clerics
He hs no temples, per se.
His temples are the central forges of a mountainhome.

Sean Wager 12:09 pm
Do they use magma forges?

Kodos 12:09 pm
Yes.
Racism against Dwarves is generally rare among Humans.
Since unlike Elves, they have a more human-like culture
And they produce more useful things than elves who mostly make art

Kodos 12:11 pm
And whle Dwarves aren't any more likely to be beautiful than humans are - no + to cha
Dwarf women do tend to be stacked. Voluptuous builds are common.
Given a choice between losing his arm r his beard
a dwarf would need a few minutes to think about it

Sean Wager 12:11 pm
Can't he just grow a new one

Kodos 12:12 pm
Yes.
But it is a major symbol of masculinity and racial and cultural identity.
He would choose the beard.
But he would need a few minutes to think about it
Because the gut reaction is basically the same as "oh god they want to mutilate my dick"
Unless she specifically had a thing for the exotic appeal of non-dwarves
No dwarf woman would go for a beardless human

Sean Wager 12:13 pm
They probably wouldn't go near an elf then

Kodos 12:13 pm
Exactly.
That's part of the idea too.
They may be willing to be friends with elves and stuff
But romance is unlikely since they are so different and physically lack a lot of important cultural things.
Sure an elf woman may have a great rack, but she doesn't have the kind of hips or ass a hot dwarf would have.
And while a human may not either
Humans at least can have that kind of build.
Same for beards.
Sure not all human men have beards
But they can.
So a Dwarf woman knows that if she thinks a human male is good looking
If they had a romantic relationship and she asked, he could grow a beard for her.

Kodos 12:15 pm
Dwarves are lawful by way of their adherence and value on tradition, community, law, and methodology.
But they aren't boring lawful.

Sean Wager 12:16 pm
What if he had a shameful secret, he can't grow a beard well

Kodos 12:16 pm
They drink, they have casual sex, they party, etc.

Interested? Then get in touch.

Sorry for delay. You know the situation. Anywho, I'm still interested, but you know I won't be back until September, and my Internet status down south is still in question. If others what my spot, or you just wanna get started, omit me, and that's cool.

DROW GUYS

Everybody is getting tellyported soon.

Which slaves and mounts are you taking? It's gonna cost like three times the amount in GP if we take everybody, so Neit was likely just taking the one grimlock and no mount. Large creatures count as two mediums in terms of cost.

Kodos be calculifying, so he sorta has to know.

You guys in Drowthread may or may not want to make a Geography and Local Knowledge check for the Western Vault. Also a second Local check for Ulurei may be something you want to do, although presumably Hwesta is going to fill Neitar and the rest in on stuff. Although Hwesta may or may not be the most accurate and/or trustworthy source.

Also, added Knowledge Geography and Knowledge Local rolls to the Neitpost.

Zizi is back. I am busy next Wednesday but free the rest of the week. Friday and Saturday doable but less than idea. Mon-Thus is ideal.

C players - talk amongst yourselves and work out a good day and time for us to all meet and run through Oguchi. If we don't hear from Hammy by then, well IDK, I'll just have one of you play Haru, or kill off Haru or something. She keeps vanishing and it's not fair to you guys or to me. Please come back, Hammeh.

I'm generally busy on mondays and wednesdays. On all other days times after at least 7pm are preferable, but I'm sure I could make an exception at least once. And yeah, I'm english too...

zizi

Also English, but I don't have a schedule. So in theory I'm free all the time, but in reality I often get last minute time sucks. But if I arrange something I can stick to it. Only days I can't really do are Mondays, and past 7pm is always preferable for me too.
