That was the initial ellipsis thread. This is simply a reflection on the general lack of ellipses lately. Think of it as a follow-up.

With any luck Rio's implemented the fix and this will be the most ironic thread

Can people who are only suggesting actions that go against the forum to be banned?

GunZet

It's not going against the forum, more like pointing out an exploit for the billionth time. So technically no, right? Yo Jube, Haya, clear this up for me.

That answers your question, Clock.

Go against the movement inside the forum. Elipsis are just hurting to act on the forum.

It's not malicious in intent, and not going against the well being of the forum, while blatant trolling is. We need another VAJ so that you may experience true darkness for yourself... lol, darkness... black guy... *chuckles to himself*

I was asking if this act could be enough to ban fenn, specially because he already have made this thread (maybe doing the same thread again is enough to give him a warning).

God. Fucking. Dammit.

No making a thread with ellipses is not enough to get anyone banned. It's annoying so I don't know why Fenn keeps making them, but yeah definitely not against the rules. And I'm not giving him a warning because you're annoyed at him for making a thread with an ellipses in the title. If you don't like pressing a different button to get to the last post, don't go to that thread.

Hey guys, remember back in the day when we used to make forum breaking quote pyramids? Lol.

Hahaha, if you think trolling goes against the well-being of the forums, google 'Low Orbit Ion Cannon' and 'SQL injection'. Hackers (well, scriptkiddies if they're using the LOIC) are far scarier than trolls.

A single SQL vulnerability could lead to someone taking total control of the forums

Well DUH, of COURSE hacking would be going against the forum, that one's pretty damn obvious.

Just saying that trolling is nothing compared to other threats braw

GunZet

I know. But seeing as though the largest threat I've ever seen this forum have was just one single megafailtroll, I didn't bother to mention hacking. Although I can't remember, I've heard there have been a few instances of hacking, but none I remember being malicious.
I do know this one dude fixed his post count to go well over a million haha.
