Hey Toast. Art's lookin good, I especially like the last pic. There seems to be a bit of an angry vibe though...ghost bear says "I hate you" ?

Your strong points in the pics you posted are an intriguing use of color (particularly in the last one) and some great experimental perspective. The linework looks like it might be intentionally messy but unfortunately it hasn't quite reached the point of "masterfully sketchy." Rather, it seems rushed or ambiguous, like you might not have been sure where or how to draw a line. The best example of this is the girl's sweater in the 4th pic. I would practice drawing clean, exact lines for maybe some human figures and clothing and then let them flow into a freer, sketchier style. If you can draw it clean first, you can make it as messy or neat as you like while still retaining the general image of whatever you're drawing.

This is very helpful, and actually since I read this, for the past week I've been practicing quite a bit with lines (nothing special enough to post however). I think this problem comes mostly out of lazyness, a not very steady hand, and the fact that I find line composition confusing a lot of the times (what should be bold, what shouldn't). But I shall try to practice a lot more! Thanks mousy, and sorry for the late reply!

I like the last one but the top background is fighting me. I like that he has those outlines like hes a 3D picture and it does kinda pull that off compared to the background and you can almost see him poping out against the background. It might be because you have the yellow women on the sides obscuring the background then suddenly nothing at the top except the words and it just seems too empty right there.

Oki I need help u guise. I've been trying to add some green lighting to the blue/green since theres a frickin blue/green massive star behind it (which I'm still trying to make cooler, so pls not too much criticism on that part). How would I do that, because it looks really dumb whenever I try? Should I just leave the lighting? Would that even look right? HALP

Oh ho! I like how your style is all so crazy. I suppose 'off colour' is the phrase that describes it best. And yet your anatomy and painting skills are so fine tuned and great! A wonderful style.

The only thing I can pick out is that I suggest you practise drawing feet because on the monotone figure, although the rest of her is lovely, her feet aren't drawn very accurately and seem unnatural.

the rough feel to my art is not purposeful, I'm just very lazy when it comes to cleaning up and almost none of this work is truly finished. I'm definitely trying to work more on that however, but it's quite hard ahaha

as for the feet, yes! I do tend to just scribble them in, because I hate feet. b-but that's not really an excuse. the problem with feet is that I'm alright when I draw them as a separate study, like hands. but when it comes to actually drawing them on a person, it gets complicated because you have to worry about the angle/size when compared to the rest of the person. I really need to pay more attention to stuff like that tho

i see a lot of improvement here!

one thing i have noticed is that in some of your drawings your eyes are drawn really close to each other which makes them look a bit weird..in general they are an eye width apart from each other.
