I felt bad that it had the top of it removed and they served it while it was still alive but pouring that sauce on it is just adding insult to injury, really.

I looked in the comments, and apparently it's dead but reacting to the sauce.
Whatever's going on, that's just wrooong...could at least destroy it's body a little more before deciding to consume it.
That's like eating a hamburger with a cow eye in it that still blinks.

It's the salt content of the sauce. http://blogs.howstuffworks.com/2009/12/21/how-twitching-frog-legs-work-a-little-gross-yes-but-fascinating/

I like my food to remain very still and very dead.

Agreed!!! I prefer it if I cant tell that it was ever alive - no eyes, ears, nose, mouth etc.

Meat juice in steak is not bad, but the taste of blood is horrible.

This is a bit off topic... :monkey_umwell: but it's still food related! I went to an awesome cafe/restaurant called the bourgeois pig where they name each of their sandwiches after a book. I had the Hobbit. It was AMAZING! http://bpigcafe.com/sandwiches.html

I ate razor clam. Served raw so it was still twitching before and during ingestion. I don't think I can do it again if it was served. D:
