OI! WOTS ALL DIS DEN?!
So there's an upcoming D&D party that needs a few more players. This is recruitment thread for that.

TELL ME ABOUT THE SETTING, KODOS, TELL ME!
Umbralume (http://i.imgur.com/wHuq8.jpg) is a plane untouched by sunlight for over nine millennia. A plane of endless night ruled by and home to all manner of horrors.
Vampires (http://i.imgur.com/m7heZ.jpg) rule over most of the plane, their Human subjects occupying a role that is a combination and midway point between that of vassal peasants and cattle livestock. Werewolves (http://i.imgur.com/oR8dc.jpg) prey upon Humans by moonlight, both as loners and in packs, oft-times waking the next 'morning' unaware of their activities the past 'night'. The dead are restless in their graves, rising bodily (http://i.imgur.com/FNBJE.jpg) or otherwise (http://i.imgur.com/k7EiO.jpg) to plague the living. The sadistic Drow (http://i.imgur.com/tNGll.jpg) have long since risen up against their Elven cousins, slaughtering them all and claiming parts of the surface for themselves and their spider goddess; Lolth (http://i.imgur.com/KxwmS.jpg). All the while the scheming Devils (http://i.imgur.com/EhKqg.jpg) and Tieflings (http://i.imgur.com/1rxP8.jpg) of the Nine Hells plot the subjugation of all in the name of the Enemy (http://i.imgur.com/THqzM.jpg), and the vile Demons (http://i.imgur.com/rDPnZ.png) of the Abyss threaten to corrupt and destroy all; living, dead, and those in-between.
And amidst it all, by moonlight and torchlight, faith (http://i.imgur.com/z7gpW.jpg) and tenacity (http://i.imgur.com/hGSgR.jpg), luck and skill, the Humans of Umbralume try to do what they have always done - survive. Mobs (http://i.imgur.com/ORf2K.jpg) of pitchfork and torch wielding peasants are aided by experienced and elite crusaders (http://i.imgur.com/Ee1ll.jpg) and slayers (http://i.imgur.com/LiVqp.jpg) in their endeavors to keep Humanity from becoming someone's meal and maybe, just maybe, drive the night and all its horrors from Umbralume and live to see a sunrise.
But Humanity is assaulted from within as well as from without. Necromancers (http://i.imgur.com/M8GNw.jpg) seek to bend the dead to their own nefarious purposes, mad Stitchers (http://i.imgur.com/gFsdc.jpg) and Alchemists (http://i.imgur.com/D528l.jpg) ply their arcane trades with little care or concern for consequence, and worst of all are those Humans who consort willingly with Vampires and Fiends, in hopes of gaining power or perhaps, simply, a measure of safety.
What a horrible night to have a curse. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phlrgUGpt38)

Essentially Umbralume is a creepy plane with an aesthetic and tone that's a mashup of Gothic Horror, Gothic Culture/Gothpunk, and Tim Burton-esque aesthetics. Vampires (8 different bloodlines to pick from!), Humans, Tieflings, and possibly other Undead and Fiends are viable race choices. For classes the normal gamut runs, plus I may adapt the Alchemist class from Pathfinder so we can get more stuff like the Invisible Man or Dr. Jekyll. Stitchers, in case the flavor art didn't help, are basically Ye Olde Dr. Frankensteins. Mad arcanists who stitch Flesh Golems together and stick grafts onto things.
Players
Black Shaggie?
Evil Cake
Fail
Regantor

Reg's playing a Drider, so no Drow.

What kind of time commitment is this?

Kodos

All of your time. We will send our agents to your home and you will be jacked in 24/7.

Ideally a post a day minimum is what I say. In reality it works out to more often than not days without posting followed by a fuckton of posts in one day. But really if you are generally able to set aside an hour or two, depending on how fast/slow you write, a day, then odds are you're fine.

Mkay...I can do a post a day...

Well I have negative ten experience in D&D, but I'm really good at roleplaying, and I can't promise 100% I'll be able to see it all the way through--if that explanation isn't satisfactory I won't join, I don't wanna throw off anyone's groove.

I guess I'll say I'm interested in Voegu. Also is it imperative we have an image of our character?

Also I already killed your agents. I left one alive to return with a message.

I never draw my characters, but If you can draw it is generally expected as good manners.

To quote my OOC OP (it's linked in my sig - you should read it)
"Just like good roleplaying I believe this is something that shows considerable dedication and takes time and effort, so I believe it is something that should be rewarded. I award players experience points and/or items in-game for producing artwork, with the caveat that the first picture of their own character(s) does not count. If you are able to draw it is pretty much expected – but not required – as good manners that you draw him/her/it.
Likewise if any of the players commission art, I consider it the same as if they had drawn it themselves, in terms of rewards – it still shows effort and dedication. Generally my ruling is more or less that 25$USD is equivalent to about half a level’s worth of experience. My feelings are that the time it takes a person to earn that much money is roughly equivalent to the time it takes the average artist player (I’m thinking Zizi or Reg) to churn out a picture of equivalent expees quality."

Anyway. Get theeself to AIM. And actual AIM, not AIM express, because I will need to send files at you.

Forget it. Comp's started having tech issues. Bad ones. I'm not even sure how often I'm gonna be on this site, it's good fortune I'm on atm. Sorry.

I would be interested in the fairy tale one. I'll sign on in a few minutes. Are there still openings in it?

YES PORBABLY.

Also Umbralume is definitely happenign. I'll give more info later when I have time. In the meantime, have some semi-finished art of Reg's character, Mishkala Trelaozigh; formerly a Drow Cleric of Lolth, now a Drider Assassin with the grafted arm of a Demon and a pair of vestigial wings to match.
