That's reasonable, actually. I've actually seen like three to four times that amount for a full body digital that some people charge.

I actually had to raise the prices because I am getting a pretty good demand, just finished a $320 commission for a browser based game.

Nice! That's a good move. Hopefully that demand is still going strong. C:

Considering most of the members of MT are still rather young, it makes me wonder how well advertising on here with those prices will work out.

It doesn't hurt. There's all kinds of people who drop by here who don't sign up to be members. Better to have it out there than to miss an opportunity. Anyways, in a buyer's perspective, with prices like that - it usually means the artist is serious about their work and will get it done on time as opposed to someone who may do it cheap and not complete their work.

Anyways, I'll see about spreading the word out a bit to some places.... C:

That's the one thing that made me wonder. Since I don't know how many people visit here looking for artists to commission rather than looking to sign up for the boards, it felt like advertising wouldn't be as worthwhile as one would hope. (Been considering doing commissions as well, but since my prices would likely be rather high as well, there's little point if there's no one who can afford the services.)

People I know who've dropped by: teachers, college students, little kids, parents with their kids, teens, lots of foreigners, publishers (yeah, I've actually be asked about some things here and there), and those are only the one's who've emailed me. I can't say about those who have not emailed me.

I have actually been a ghost member for a while, I actually posted my first really shitty art on here little over a year ago so this site has seen me go from nothing to something.

One thing you learn from commissions is to post where ever there is a page for this kind of stuff, it does nothing to hurt you in the long run.

This is what I did for the last commission

If anyone likes this coloring style it is only $20 more added to the sketch price.

bah that's nothing, 3-D modelers can charge that, per hour. Its funny, whe get hired to do something that we can do in 30 minutes, but let a three or four days pass before we call or clients XD. To top it off they are usually working on something else for another client when they call XD.

lol
The storyboarding class I am taking right now had listed what the union hourly salary for a storyboarding artist was, $50hr.
There is a chat I hang around on that one of the more well known artists of DA owns, he got mad at me for being so low in prices.
