My theory

Spoiler! :
Is that he was a rubber man. I say this because Im just totally guessing but one dude mentions that only one of each fruit can exist at any time, and luffy was born after roger died. Also you know the fruit existed previously because it shows up in the book, and shanks and his crew knew what fruit it was.

Yeah that's the big hole in my theory. ): I mean the general public might not know but garp would definitely say something. I hope he is just a total badass without a power though.
