What's new?

For me (for those who actually care), my job isn't entirely finished yet due to a lot of redesign work but it's fine for now. The pixel artist the company hired went missing some time ago and as a result things have gotten really backed-up, so until they're able to find a replacement I don't have to worry about deadlines too much. (As long as I continue to get stuff done in the meantime, that's all that matters.) Although I hadn't planned on returning to MT until the job was complete, I caught a pretty nasty cold and am not really able to work at the moment (my hands are too shaky right now to get anything done) so I thought I'd drop in and see how everyone's been doing while I've been away.

Well, I have ANUTHA party tomorrow, so yeah!

I'm jealous. Despite being sick, I have to work tomorrow and Sunday. No fun for me. (No rest either.) D:

I'm sick aswell. >: We should console each other.

Nice to know I'm not alone. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, though. D:

I was wondering when you'd be back, Ceta. That's too bad about the setbacks. I can't wait to hear what it is for and everything when you're done though.

Well in my defence, note I said "like" wasted, so really just saying I feel like i'm wasted, but not really wasted. I'm sure you get the point though, and I'm kind of being really annoying now and drifting off topic, so you can forget this now if you want..

Thanks. I look forward to seeing the final product as well, but it's hard to say when the company will be able to find a replacement artist. Could be within the next couple weeks, could be a few months. Hard to say.

This is what happens when you work with little kids. As soon as they get sick, you get sick. I wish I could wear a mask to prevent catching other peoples' sicknesses, but I (as were the other employees) was told not to. 'It impedes job performance' or some kind of BS along those lines. I really want to forward all my hospital bills to the person who made that rule. Although I have health insurance, it can really add up.


Excluding the art job, I work two jobs. From Monday to Friday I am an elementary school teacher and on Saturdays I work as staff at a cafe. While I usually try to keep Sundays open to prepare materials for my teaching job and get chores done, there are times -- like tomorrow -- where I have to work as an emergency replacement. These are hard times right now and sometimes I get paid lesser than what I normally should, so I need to work extra hours elsewhere in order to keep from going into the red. It's rough but it can't be helped; one of the downsides to living alone.
