Recommend here a comic/manga, and why do you recommend it.

I'm going to recommend Vinland Saga, is about vikings and all that stuffs. Why I recommend it? I have read only 6 chapters, but until now I love how is captured the life and traditions of vikings in this story.

I have a feeling this will turn into a list thread with people recommending manga that are already popular.

I recommend Worst if you like fighting manga or yankii dramas. The art is really good, and the writing is top notch. If I had to criticize it though I'd say that there are too many characters to remember and sometimes I get them confused with each other.

Then perhaps you could add "unpopular manga that you recommend to read"?

If you like yuri otaku-cultured light-comedy manga, I recommend "Choir!"
It's kinda mix between Luck Star and Doujin Work, plus some yuri.

For silly goose-loli plus action/fighting manga, I recommend "Needless"
The action/fighting scene is like those in Shaman King, Naruto, One Piece. But what make it so different is the ridiculously huge amount of fan-service. And most of the girl here is loli (delicious flat-chested little girl). Oh, and don't forget the gore too. There is also a lot of that in this manga.
Spoiler! :
And in the latest volume (starting several tens of last chapter), the protagonist starts to cross-dressing non-stop.

Don't worry though, he (the author) never kills a little girl (especially in gory way). And the funny law he made into Needless is how much damage a girl is suffering could be seen from how much of her cloth is ripped. From just this, you could know how "sick" this manga could be ^_^

And the girl age is ranging from about 8 to 27 years old (oh, there's one who's more than 40 years old, but don't worry, her cloth's never ripped apart). Most of them are loli, so they're about 8 to 14 years old. Or at least look like that.

One of the enemy main squad is Girl Squad, which consists of ...well, loli girls in uniform... and there's one school of them 0_0

Spoiler! :
There's one 1000 years old girl (she is half android, half human). But then again, she use loli girl humanoid body ^_^

One of the protagonist (not the cross-dressing one I told you before), he loves only under-aged girl, has weakness of "naked loli girl with knee socks" and later developed into "naked loli girl with gloves".

All this. Like this whole thread.

This has gone a long way towards explaining exactly who you are.

I think I am going to pass on that comic.

Whoops, correction. After taking a hot bath for a while, I just remembered that there were several occasion where girls are getting killed (some in pretty gory way)... though I don't remember any loli girl getting killed in a horrible way...

I recommend Gintama
It is awesome, it's not really that popular as Naruto and stuff, but i think everyone must see or read it
It has funny spoofs, comedy is awesome. I like the art (it gets better as it continues imo). And it has a lot of those morals value things, but the comedy is just awesome, there is also some action in it. Fighting and stuff. Some awesome arc's go by. It is one of the best things i have ever read. I like it, you may want to bite a little bit first chapters but then BAM you find it awesome xD

You think of that in a bath eh...

I recommend Battle Royale. Even though it's like...cult-popular and people have heard about it, most people haven't gone out of their way to read it (or just watched the movies, instead). It's damn good. Evokes a lot of raw, human emotions though there are quite a few flagrantly one-tracked characters. It's not necessarily realistic, but it makes you care on a realistic level, I guess.

Gamaran. It's a historically set story with lots of martial artists, samurai, and fighters in general. It's been gaining in popularity but it's always good to spread the word even more.

Yeah.

I can't think of any Manga worht recomending that aren't really popular. So ... Uhm ... Yeah.

LegendZ was fun, it's a little kid manga were kids fight with these digital monsters that live in crystals that get brought to life. Only 4 volumes, so it's real short (12 chapters).

Also, Bakuman as always is the shit.

And the Yugioh manga are surprisingly well done, they're still kind of pouplar though I guess. JUMP label and all. (Not weekly, but monthly)

Can I recommend a web-manga?

I'd recommend The Dreaming, a very little known manga by a creator called queenie chan(pen name.) it's a horror manga about twin sisters who start going to a college in the middle of the bush lands in Australia. the school's principal, the twins' aunt, is leaving the school for a couple of months, and leaving them with a vice- principal who, for some reason, loathes twin sisters. the sisters start hearing stories about girls who disappeared in the bush in the middle of the night and never came back, and then one of their friends vanishes, and the sisters start having identical, horrible dreams about the bush and the school back when students first started disappearing.
it was only three volumes, very short, but the plot was intricate and creepy and the art is beautiful.
I also liked Alice 19th, the plot's a little hard to explain without spoiling something. it tends to be a bit corny in the serious parts, but the funny parts are hilarious.
