Vivien felt sick too his stomach. Not from the disgusting creatures, but out of fear for Regenald's welfare. He was strong, of course, but couldn't they have brought him along as well?

There was no time to worry about him now, though. With a whispered prayer, negative energy sprayed forth from Vivien and struck the four east-most plague wizards. The nearest two plague wizards collapsed, dead from their wounds.

Inflict Moderate Wounds, Mass

The two remaining plague wizards succeed in a will save and have 29 HP left.

The Plague Wizards shifted positions, also casting some spells. I wonder what they were!

It was Mage Armor. All the survivors have +4 to their AC.

***

Helena stomped over to where one Plague Wizard and calmly and neatly cleaved him in two.

Not bothering with rolling for Helena because, really?

***

Ramirez was too distracted by the fight to get a good look at the bookshelf.

Cake is up.

With the evoker in her arms, Rosaline trudged toward the center of the room.

Without taking her eyes off the action happening around them, she asked her temporarily parapalegic ally, "Um.. can you attack them, Alberto?"

As a result of the explosion, one of the bookcases - and its contents - was now on fire. If any of the books Ramirez wanted was in that blast area, he was fucked, and if they were on the shelf elsewhere he'd have to act fast to save them.

Ramirez went to check out the burning bookshelf, since if the book he wanted was there it would be unlikely to remain there much longer.

Spot= 1d20+13=29 I hope he suffers burns.

"Ramirez? Where are you! We are going on ahead. Get over here!" Helena seemed annoyed.

Ramirez managed to grab the book without setting himself on fire, stash it in his bag and jog back to the group deactivating his ring. Good thing he went for the burning bookcase.

The next room was a great hallway. To the left was another chamber, as well as to the northwest. You were entering the left chamber when a large Demonic spider (DC15 Knowledge: The Planes to know it's a Bebilith) teleported in, accompanied by several flying, halfnaked, Succubi.

Helena groaned, more in annoyance than in frustration or despair. "You lot go into the next room, I'll handle this."

You all knew better than to argue and decided to let Helena have her fun.

***

The heavy stone doors closed behind you. This room seemed to be some sort of hatchery given that the walls and much of the ceiling were covered in spiderwebs. The webs themselves were covered in trapped spider-zombies and more conventional eggsacs. Charming.

At the far end of the room was an extremely gorgeous (Pure thoughts! Pure thoughts!) dark skinned woman. She had the sort of body you'd come to associate with Therion's ladies, and shoulderlength brown hair. Her robes clung to her like a second skin and you could clearly see that despite being apparently a Wizard she was quite toned.

Oh, and she was holding a very large and thick sword. In one hand. And it seemed to be dripping with acid.

Dotted across the rest of the room were what you assumed were her minions, all carrying large morningstars.

silly goose her head to the side she smiled at you all. "This should be over quick, darlings, don't worry."

***

The dark skinned woman gave Lucille a flirty smile. "You're kind of cute." She purred. "But much too flat for His tastes. If you were more like me," she ran her free hand along the length of her torso for emphasis, "I might have taken you alive, as an offering to the Worldsmasher."

"Too bad." Reaching out with her empty hand she unleashed a spell. It resembled Magic Missile, Alberto noted, albeit instead of glowing bolts of arcane energy, these were sickly green bolts dripping with what he could only assume was nasty stuff.

Each of the five missiles unerringly found their targets - one missile per person. It burned into your skin and clothing and you could immediately tell that the acidic stuff was poisonous, to boot. Lovely.

INITIATIVE
Thina Oshgeth - 21
Vivien - 20
Lucille - 19
Ramirez - 19
Renegald - 17
Thina's Minions - 8
Rosaline - 4
Alberto - 2
T is Thina Oshgeth, the dark skinned lady. M is her minions. The rest is explanatory.
She has some unique homebrew spells, but everything else is normal. She's just a well statted Wizard 10/Fighter 6 with nice items.

Alberto's legs are better now, btw.

Anyway, the spell she hit you with deals 1d4+1=4 Acid damage and was toxic. DC20 fort save against Poison or take 1d4 points of Con damage and then , 2d4 Con damage a minute later. Even if you save against the initial poison damage you still need to make a second save against the secondary damage.

Spoiler! :
ENEMY STATS
Thina
HP 164
AC 21
Fort 13
Ref 10
Will 14
Thina Minion
HP 84
AC 18
Fort 9
Ref 5
Will 3

Alberto took the acidic blast pretty well, it only slightly burned away at his skin and that was that.

Vivien gasped and staggered as the acid seeped along his flesh, but that was all the damage it inflicted. After taking a moment to catch his breath, he summoned up the Saint' power once more. Negative energy slashed out from him, striking Thina and the six warriors closest to her.

All minions within the spell range now have 55 HP left.
