Yeah, 2 and 3's feet lag on the landing a bit. Even though it's more realistic, it still looks cooler to not see his sole.

Having good character animation in games makes them a lot more appealing, if only for the eye candy.

You've probably posted about it before (and I missed it), but what's your game called, and what's it about?

@Matt: Indeed. As for the game I'm working on, I'm not really working on anything specific right now. Though chances are I'll try to make a simple action platformer soon.

@GunZet: I'll probably change that, along with the hair.

@jaidurn: Game maker.


....Hm..I'm depressed. College is starting to get on my nerves again...

It looks decent--far better than the crap you see all over Yoyogames. I was thinking you were gonna insert a panorama in the black area, though.

You mean a parallax background? If so then yeah, I generally would. These are just mockups though so I'm not really worried about that.

Ah, yeah. Games don't generally run at 187x166 res. (Unless someone made an entire mockup game)

Yeah, the resolution was just a random number, this was just for the sake of practice but I still call it a "mockup" since I'm drawing it as I would if it were an actual in-game asset.
