love it. Jealous of your hand drawing skills or just your drawing skills in general

As my annoying perspective teacher would say, your vanishing point for your perspective isn't very clear, not are the shapes extreme enough to really make it very obvious. But that silly goose aside, I really like her design. Since I finally got some art software I gotta learn to color and lineart this well! *determination*

Nope, that's too complicated methinks...I like to be simple

Thanks, I spent quite the time fixing the hands there

Gogogo! On the perspective thing, I pretty much understand what you're talking about but after realizing it's actually pointless to rely on perspective on anything unless you have the drawing skill and mental concentration to pull it off, which I don't have...I mostly draw by intuition and as proof, I don't use perspective lines and vanishing points. Plus, it's difficult to use perspective guides in structures that are not perpendicular in edges...like for example, the dangling legs in the picture, or the trunk of the tree cannot surely be told to be perpendicular to the ground making it impossible to say that it will follor the guides to exact and so I tend to drop the idea and just what I think it would look like based on imagination.

Dislikes: Hot/humid places, obstructive areas,

Another one because I fear the lack of entries that get in time...seems like a lot of people are busy or maybe I have grown in speed >_>
[copypasta]By the name, her weapon is obvious.
I just made her name more russian sounding because I want to. Costume is experimental and does not hold to represent the character...this is a sketch, so I'm basically practicing some areas in the work.[/copypasta]

She's extremely cute. And so amazingly drawn.

Thank you noble one, I appreciate the comment

Random sketch time
somekind of concept art work
Character has no name yet
I got addicted with checkers and doing them manually Dx
I was trying to do something that actually has semblance to anime/manga (meaning that I was just drawing things intended to be so instead of trying to make things correct in terms of realistic standards)

It's a poncho kind of thing well, got that idea from those shoulder cape things usually in anime military uniforms, whatever that is anyway >_>

OC, you are going to kick butt in the Saimoe competition. *o*

I like her design! She looks like a badass tsundere kind of girl.

Thank you...in time you'd get to my level, it's not that hard to get to my level actually, you just need to scrutinize everything so that you end up becoming obsessive compulsive xD

UmbertheKid
Thanks for the feedback, so I got that kind of feeling across, was trying to do exactly that because I have no practice doing different types of emotions

Copy+Paste from DA

WIP
I'll be coloring it
Marisa Kirisame (Touhou: ZUN) except I was high on coffee so I thought maybe I should try something ridiculous
actually this was initially a doodle i did in open canvas while i was doodling with a friend and the theme was set to wild west...so I drew a cowgirl leaping over the fence...and then I decided I should clean the sketch in SAI and while I was doing the hair part, I placed a random braid there
Then I decided I should template it to Marisa...it was fun trying to retain Marisa's dress elements in the piece xD

Love how clean your lines always end up, also the combination of subtle details with the simplicity. Awesome as usual.
Although it's something about the way the mouths are drawn that doesn't quite hit my art bone.

Well if it's something about how the mouth is drawn in style I can change that howeve if it's just the expression with regards to the pose, I cant because the character was meant to be that retarded >__>
Generally I want them mouths to be simple, kinda hard to draw detailed mouths swallowing something if you know what I mean Dx
anywayz, thanks for the heads up, I might be able to do something probably in future stuff.

Linz
Aye, I enjoyed doing them boots really because I was trying to retain the figure of a school shoes with the strap and socks into one thing.

Colored version of previous sketch
-Tweaked some stuff because they were off in the line art
-The background is a product of boredom actually the whole thing is >_>
-It feels nice that no one else (based on extensive searching) has done something as radical as this with regards to touhou characters...images of Marisa in her usual costume are very common and kinda sickening if you think about it...xD
-I'm thinking of doing some more touhou characters in reinvented costumes xDDD, it's kinda fun trying to retain dress elements to some degree.

I actually planned to post this at the new forum but after registering and checking conditions and stuff, realized that the forum beats the purpose of me joining mt...lol
-must not post images at crit corner if not needed to be crit = use gallery
Checked gallery and it seems that album images should be uploaded...beats the purpose of me using DA as image dump site...and there's also no url link for image to album at least so that I don't use up space if any, so yeah
-post limits
If I can't post comments this long then that totally destroys my usual critiquing as this is my standard wall crit if anyone remembers the time I was generous in giving opinion
In short, it became complicated and not as flexible as this old forum is, hmm, so I find no reason to get active there and sadly I read somewhere that this old one gets blasted away in the end of the month!!!!!111...So this may be farewell!!
Ta-ta!! At least I posted a fairly decent image as a last hurrah xD

Being here in MT was a big help, 3-4ish years and I was able to raise my 0 skills (check first page, first post) to actual poster-ized images in my organization. Many thanks really! To my gods and influences: CypressDahlia, Darkmousysminion, Resalan, Mok, Faust, Doghateburger, your relentless display of skill has really made me strive for the best! To the members who kept on bugging me /jk, you know who you are, in PMs and those who generally made me stop to crit...thanks for the opportunity!

tl;dr

I find it funny that this ends in the same year with me graduating from college...the end is surely near xD

-fixed shading on some parts that are weird
-nipple position adjusted (cant believe I got that one wrong)

Epic farewell picture. I wish I'd have left one as good as that. And as usual, I can't see any flaws.
