Also, on the sword-guy you may also wish to balance the character by placing the sword and arms closer to the body, or make it more dynamic by placing the sword in only one hand, but outstretched as in the original. Happy drawing :P

It's pretty good for anime anatomy if that's what you're going for. Could be a little more stylized. But if you're going for realsim I say make her meatier.

See? They're not that hard are they?

Nice work but I think the legs could be a bit longer.

One more thing, the arms could be a little fleshier. They look sorta anorexic. D:

The arms are not too much of a biggy, because I swear my arms look like that.

The legs could be a bit longer, but other than that it's looking really good. :D

They're short because on the previous forum I was told I drew legs a little too long . . . or was that on this forum? Either way, the fact remains that they ARE too short as they are now. So I'll get another picture up soon, hopefully within the week (fact proven: I am slow).

What I think I need to work on is getting more than one character in a single scene, especially one where the focus is on a character kneeling and there's a character standing in the background. All right, that's very specific, but it's for my manga.

You're starting a manga? That's cool. It should be pretty good, considering you've healthy experience in writing. You're improving very very very well with anatomy! I agree of the legs, though. C:

Random stuff to keep the thread alive. The links were a bit screwy though, so they might not work.

@ Seefy - Yup, I'm doing a manga. One panel at a time in the draft pages of the draft pages. But I assure you, I will get it done someday.

Image is too big for fullsize. And the ones in the previous post didn't even work. This is crap.

I have a problem with making heads too small. Very bad, considering moe girls usually have big heads. And I hate her left hand in general--not just the offness of the thumb.

So I'll keep practicing and posting.

I really like your style. Are you aiming more for shonen style? Just wondering.

Do you use a shape way of drawing? Like drawing the general shape and then adding in the appendages/details/whatnot. I find that it helps with hands, and hands are one of the only things I can draw semi-well. owo;

Shonen? Maybe at first, but I wanna do moe--cute girls, that is.

Yes, I use shapes. Ovals for arms and legs, circle/trapezoids for hands (depending on the day) and a circle for the head. And I can't draw feet yet.

Here is something I did on your last work that hopefully will give you an idea where to focus to help you get your proportions near bishoujo style
