This is not finished. I need to do a lot of...uh...fixing. I think there's something wrong with the lower body.

Things I intend to change:

1. I don't like the choker, so it's got to go.
2. I don't like the feathers now that I look at it.
3. In fact, I think the curls are off, to her right. Any suggestions on hair style?
4. I need to fix the bottom of her skirt--it almost looks like she's just not well groomed between her legs...I just didn't want to make the picture graphic.

Your suggestions needed! Thanks ;)

I'll probably post more later, but my old computer's monitor isn't working.

Overall I like this. The lines are smooth and stable
However it is my hypothesis that if you "unfreeze" this picture she will fall over, the pose isn't really balanced. I think that's why it seems something is wrong with the lower body, because as far as I can tell it's prportionally right. I don't know how you made the picture, but when I draw I often create a sketch of the char and outfit first so that I can draw without thinking when it comes to the real thing. Otherwise my poses and proportions often gets out of line...

O, and don't remove the curls, curls are probably the coolest hairstyle (yes, I have curly hair myself), and imo it's also most fun to draw :)

Wow! This is really helpful--I didn't even think that she might be off balance...but I can tell now that's gonna need a fix. Thanks a ton :)

I really like the patterns on her stockings! (maybe i'm just a sucker for cool designs)

But would you mind at all if I red-lined her body? :)

Dude, be my guest! I'd love that! I need to try to get her on balance so I can redo it. :)

Great! Then here you go

(never mind the head or the hands, I screwed up on those. It was mainly to correct the midsection OTL )

I like it allot and sutari basically showed how to get what you were after so I can only give this piece of advice for later reffrence. The lower a persons eyes are on their head/face the smarter they look and the higher they are the "slower" they spear to be.

Liking the design. With Sutari's red-line you'll be able to correct what has been said and then show us the finished result. Looking forward to it :D

Thanks a lot you guys! I'm definately gonna take these things into consideration when I rework it. I'll be sure to post it up here once I get it done. :P I'll try to get some more stuff I need critiqued up, too (may be a while.)

@Rei

I kinda disagree in some parts of the red lines. For example in the inclination of the body, the shoulders, one leg and the style that is quiet silly goose (and I don't know if she want to make a silly goose draw).

Red lines are good, but you should always try to not cross the bridge of styles.

For the dragoon, just work with anatomy.

Thanks! I know, I'm pretty bad with proportions sometimes...balance is a killer for odd positions like this one.

you should make the hair behind her right arm (our left) curlier, unless you want that straight. although im not sure how you should go about doing that xD well thats my attempt at explaining something

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will make her hair all one length...wasn't sure what I was doing with it before, but I think it might look best just all curly.

Before I head off for bed, I wanted to throw up a couple more pictures. You can critique them if you like, but they've been long since graded and sprayed--and I've never been able get the workable fixative to...well, be reworkable. Basically, I just wanted to toss these up to show I attempt other stuff, too. Also, most of these are thumbnails or cropped works, so if they're centered here, they may not have been in the originals. My focus with many of these wasn't to work on design, but rather to try get the value right and proportions (and in many cases, I suck with that.)

Anywho, here ya go:
Image

This was a skull and bones set up we had to do as just a filler when the model didn't show up.

Image

One of the models. I actually worked with this guy at a different place...it was kinda awkward until we were sure neither really cared much about the whole nude model thing.

Image

I needed to do a lot more with this, especially the placement of the lips...but we ran out of time, and I had to turn it in. *sigh* It was hard to share a mirror, since my friend didn't have a big one she could bring in, and we had to keep angling ourselves in weird positions. I also didn't get a chance to light up the incense and draw any smoke. :( I really wanted to try that out.
