I’ve always wondered how artists made murals. Some I’ve seen do their work freehand but this one is more planned. Check out this video of artist AIKO making a large-scale mural named “Sunrise.” To quote the description of the video,
“Japanese street artist AIKO brings her unique street sensibility and graffiti glam to Japan Society’s latest exhibition Edo Pop: The Graphic Impact of Japanese Prints. This video is your one stop shop for everything AIKO—a time lapse video of her creating Sunrise, a large-scale work commissioned by Japan Society specifically for Edo Pop; examples of her previous work from across the globe; and an interview with the artist herself discussing her art and techniques.
Edo Pop is on view at Japan Society from March 9 to June 9, 2013.
