I’ve posted about people getting in trouble for sharing files online before and it seems like it’s still occuring. One man was arrested for uploading a video game and other materials on the Share file-sharing service last month while another was arrested in June for uploading a whole volume of manga. Both men were in Japan so it seems like they’re cracking down on illegal file-sharing in the East. Not much is known about such crackdowns here in the West unless it’s major news but if anything, I’m sure companies are going after filesharers with take-down-orders.
Lesson of the day: Be careful of what you upload online.
