Tokyopop is redoing it’s image and that includes deleting years worth or user content in their current web site. If you are a Tokyopop member, you had best scurry over and save anything that you deem important before they pull the proverbial plug next week on April 26th.
Personally, I think it’s about time. I never liked Tokyopop’s current website design. I found it clunky and just down-right ugly. Fortunately, ANN has a preview of the new site and it’s looking much more up-to-date and easier on the eyes.
User content seems to have been limited to just forum chatter and doesn’t include extras like polls, art galleries, and so on. It’s unknown why Tokyopop is redoing the whole site but maybe it has something to do with Tokyopop shutting down their NA division. You know… to save money on bandwidth, moderation and upkeep. But who can really say?
