In a very promising move, Pixiv, the premier Japanese art posting site for anime and manga artists has gone and made an English Twitter account and an English encyclopedia.
The encyclopedia includes the latest featured article, related images to that article, top 10 art tools, updated articles, news, and new icons. The page is user-edited and user-content generated. For those who do not already have an account with Pixiv, you can register in the English Encyclopedia section and not be met with confusing Japanese kanji. It is unknown if the account created in the English version will also work in the Japanese-written areas but I highly suspect that they will.
All in all, one has to wonder if this is just the first step to a full-fledge English pixiv web site.
