I have pretty much decided to go with one certain CMS (Content Management System) site for the new Manga Tutorials until I found another CMS which does something pretty neat: it allows each individual members to make a store and list their own items or services!
CMS, for those who are not website-building savvy, is a website management software that is database driven and allows for many data (articles, blogs, images, videos, polls, etc) to be managed in an effective and efficient manner. It also makes creating and managing a community very easily. WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla are some examples of Content Management Systems.
Going back to the store, I thought this would be perfect for the Hire An Artist area. Members may post image samples, set their own price, have people leave comments on the listing if there are questions, and on my end, a listing may be featured with one click of the button so members can have a little time to shine. I currently do not know if the payment processing is handled within the CMS itself or if interested members have to contact the artist doing commission and make transactions from there but it’s something that I’ll definitely be looking into. Stay tuned for more information!
