I’ve had this page for a very long time and I would like to call attention to it once again. For those who overlook it, our Resources page is one big links page to lots of useful sites from manga publishers, distributors, international anime and manga universities, art supplies sites, other tutorial sites, art communities, anime and manga news sites, and other interesting resources you should check out.
There’s three things I would like to point out. First, there’s been some very cool additions to the Schools, Colleges, and Universities section for those interested in taking classes abroad. Most schools are from Japan (big surprise there, huh?) and one pretty neat one is being held by Nihon Kogakuin who is offering a one month intensive summer course to learn animation. The fee is 220,000 Yen (around $2,500 USD) and includes the price for the course, accommodations, and teaching materials. The fee does not include air fare, any other transportation within Japan during your stay, or meals. The class is limited to 12 on a first-come-first-served basis so check it out now if you’re interested.
I had to take out the Animation Tutorials links since most of them have closed their doors or just never had any materials to view. On the bright side, I would like to do some animation tutorials here at the site so look forward to those in the future.
Last but not least, publishers are constantly changing their submission practices so I did quite a bit of switching around for our list of publishers. If a publisher’s submission’s page gives you an error message, don’t loose heart. Go to the main page and see if the submission’s page was just moved to another location or maybe check out their Contact’s and FAQs and see if they’re still accepting.
All in all, be sure to check this page out for some interesting sites. If you know of a site that you think I should list as well, drop me a line and let me know!
