Manga has touched many people and has managed to cross boarders and reach many more audiences and fans. I think it’s very spectacular to hear that Kyoto International Manga Museum’s (KIMM) one millionth visitor should be a 12 year-old American girl. That goes to show you that manga is truly all encompassing.
If you ever get a chance to visit Kyoto, KIMM is a wonderful place to check out because it is practically wall-to-wall full of manga issues. Sections also include international works that were inspired by manga, Japanese manga old and new, and of course, no museum is complete without very old works that are housed under glass cases. The museum also holds various exhibits throughout the year and workshops.
