Happy 4th of July everyone! In celebration of this day, I’ll be doing some special updates this week. Tomorrow, I will be doing a major update for our Your Art Gallery with a ton of artwork from lots of people submitting their artwork. And when I say a ton, I mean a ton!
Also up are some articles I wrote up about Japanese School life. Not to confuse it with Maiko Covington’s Life in a Japanese School articles, I’ve decided to call these set of articles All About Life in a Japanese School.
In these articles, I will be detailing the daily schedule for an elementary and high school student from what they do in the morning, what classes they have, lunch time, special events (Sports Day, Trips, etc), juku, and other details from their textbooks, uniforms, clothes, and more. These will not be first hand experiences as Maiko’s but more of a researched article that I hope you will find useful should you ever make your own manga set in Japan.
So enjoy your summer (or winter for some of you), relax, see what your fellow artists have been drawing up, and read up on what it’s like for a Japanese student in school. See you tomorrow!
