The 14th Dalai Lama: A Manga Biography has made it’s debut in English earlier this week, telling the story of the current Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. Artwork was done by Tetsu Saiwai and published by The Penguin Group. The 14th Dalai Lama: A Manga Biography retails for $15 USD and is surprisingly rated for “18 and up” readers.
Gyatso was named the 14th Dalai Lama at the age of two but was not officially recognized until he was 15. He is well known for activities in the Tibetan independence movement and has worked hard towards world peace achieving a Nobel Peace Prize in 1989. For an image of the manga, drop by ANN.
