Not only will Shonen Jump become partly digital next year, it will also be getting a makeover! After eight years of the same laid out and designed Shonen Jump, it will be getting a fresh new look that has gotten the editorial staff all a-twitter. With an interview with SiliconeraSenior Editor Joel Enos said, “Visually, it looks different, it looks fresh. It looks very organized… [and] I think this change makes the magazine look more contemporary.”
Yu-gi-oh! will be coming back to Shonen Jump with all new series Psyren making it’s debut in the serialization. As mentioned before, extra content will be available for subscribers online from extra chapters, series, and other goodies. An iPad version of the magazine is also in the works which is quite ambitious for a company that I’ve seen as being more cautious into venturing into new territory but I guess this is the sign of the times.
