I’m almost done will all the All About Life in a Japanese School articles. There will be a handful more next week before I begin the Step-by-Step with Rio set of articles. To reiterate what it’s all about, I will be posting some articles following a step-by-step procedure of me making artwork from start to finish. To quote myself from my earlier announcement, “The artwork will be for a free game called Foxtaile, a visual novel set in historical Japan featuring a kitsune or fox. The items I will be drawing will include characters and backgrounds and will include sketches, inking, to the final cg colored version.” There will be tips and other useful information thrown in so be sure to check them out.
It has been fun talking about life in Japanese schools and I hope you guys all enjoyed reading them. I know I’ve learned a few more things that I did not know while I researched specific areas of their school life. (Textbooks for all classes? Really?) If you want to learn more about Japanese schools or Japan in general, take the time to pick up some books or search the internet. There are a lot of things that I most likely did not cover and are just as interesting.
